하나님의 심판

행5:1-11

 

오순절 성령 강림으로 탄생된 교회는 제사장들과 장로들, 유대인들로 인한 불같은 시련과 박해 속에서도 굴하지 않고 믿음을 지켰습니다. 뿐만 아니라 선교의 열의는 더욱 불타올라 구원받는 성도가 기하급수적으로 늘어나서 삼천 명 또 오천 명, 드디어 수를 헤아리기 어려울 정도가 되었습니다.

그런데 본문에서는 그렇게 은혜로운 교회 안에서 저주받는 사건이 발생하게 되었습니다. 여기서 우리가 깨달아야 할 것은 외부적인 시험도 주의해야 하지만 내부적인 시험도 주의해야 한다는 것입니다.

 

1. 영의 생각과 육신의 생각

사도행전 4:32-37까지는 성령으로 인하여 이루어지는 이상적인 교회로 아름다운 헌신과 봉사의 모습을 보여주고 있습니다. 특히 요셉이라 하는 바나바는 자기 재산을 처분하여 그 값을 사도들의 발 앞에 두었습니다. 그때 아나니아와 삽비라 부부도 자기 소유를 팔아서 하나님께 드리기로 서원했습니다. 그 은혜가 중요합니다. 성령의 강한 역사가 아니고는 할 수 없는 일이지요.

결과적으로 보면 만일 그때 아나니아와 삽비라가 마음을 굳게 먹고 하나님께 서원하지 않았다면 어떻게 되었을까요? 저주받는 일은 없었을 줄 압니다. 그러나 성령이 나를 통해 영광 받기를 기뻐하실 때 헌신하는 사람이 복을 받고 영원한 영광에 이르게 됩니다.

언제든지 또 무엇이든지 "주께서 쓰시겠다" 하실 때 순종하십시오. 기회를 잃으면 후회하게 됩니다. 마리아는 헌신하여 성모가 되었고, 바울은 헌신하여 성자가 되었습니다. 주님의 존귀에 이르기를 원하십니까? 성령의 열매 맺는 은혜를 힘입기 소원합니다.

바나바와 아나니아 부부를 비교해 보십시오. 그들은 자기의 소유를 팔아 하나님께 바쳤지만 결과에 있어서는 축복과 저주로 나타납습니다. 이는 교리적인 문제가 아닌 물질로 인한 시험입니다. 복음이 무엇입니까?

‘주 예수를 믿고 네게 있는 모든 소유를 바쳐라 그리하면 너와 네 가정이 구원을 얻으리라’ 그것이 아닙니다. 만일 그렇다면 은혜로 받는 구원이라 할 수가 없지요.

생명을 돈으로 살 수 없듯이 진리도 돈으로 살 수 없다는 것을 알아야 합니다. 물론 사람이 살아가는 동안 물질은 필요합니다. 그러나 물질이 육신의 양식은 될지라도 영생의 양식은 될 수 없습니다. 그러므로 우리는 멸망 받을 육신의 생각에서 돌아서서 영의 생각을 따라 생명과 평강에 이르기를 소원합니다.

 

2. 축복과 저주

 

"아나니아라 하는 사람이 그의 아내 삽비라로 더불어 소유를 팔아 그 값에서 얼마를 감추매 그 아내도 알더라"(1-2절).

아나니아는 성물을 도둑질하였고 삽비라는 이에 동참하는 죄를 지었습니다. 물질은 인간이 살아가는 동안 없어서는 안 될 것입니다. 그러나 동일한 물질이라도 취해서 복이 되는 물질이 있는가 하면, 욕이 되는 물질이 있습니다. 그러므로 이를 분별하지 못하고 물욕에 치우칠 때 영혼을 잃게 됩니다.

“그러므로 형제들아 우리가 빚진 자로되 육신에게 져서 육신대로 살 것이 아니니라 너희가 육신대로 살면 반드시 죽을 것이로되 영으로서 몸의 행실을 죽이면 살리니 무릇 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 사람은 곧 하나님의 아들이라”(롬8:12-14).

"얼마만 가져가다 사도들의 발 앞에 두니"(2절).

생각해 보면 그런 정도의 결단도 대단하다 할 수 있습니다. 사도들이 그때 강제 수단을 동원해서 물질을 거둔 것이 아닙니다. 또 그랬다면 믿기도 어려웠을 것입니다. 모두가 하나님의 은혜였습니다.

중요한 것은 성령이 내게 임하여 영광 받으시기를 기뻐하실 때 거역하거나 소멸하는 죄를 범해서는 안 된다는 것입니다. 성령은 반드시 복 받을 사람을 통해 역사하십니다. 기억할 것은 생명과 성령의 역사는 거룩한 헌신을 요구한다는 것입니다.

믿음의 조상 아브라함에게 요구하신 하나님의 말씀입니다.

“네 아들 네 사랑하는 독자 이삭을 데리고 모리아 땅으로 가서 내가 네게 일러준 한 산 거기서 그를 번제로 드리라"(창22:2).

그때 아브라함은 순종하여 믿음의 조상이 되었고,

"은혜를 받은 자여 평안할지어다 주께서 너와 함께 하시도다...주의 여종이오니 말씀대로 내게 이루어지이다"(눅1:28, 38).

마리아의 헌신으로 도성 인신의 새 역사는 이루게 되었습니다.

기억하십시오. 아브라함이 주의 뜻을 거역했거나 마리아의 헌신이 없었다면 하나님의 구원 사역에 차질을 빚었을까요? 기회를 잃으면 그들이 주의 영광을 잃게 된다는 사실을 알아야 합니다.

“너는 왕궁에 있으니 모든 유다인 중에 홀로 목숨을 건지리라 생각하지 말라 이때에 네가 만일 잠잠하여 말이 없으면 유다인은 다른 데로 말미암아 놓임과 구원을 얻으려니와 너와 네 아버지 집은 멸망하리라 네가 왕후의 자리를 얻은 것이 이때를 위함이 아닌지 누가 알겠느냐”(에4:13-14).

에스더의 결단은 새 역사의 주인공이 되게 한 것입니다. 오늘도 마찬가지입니다. 성령이 내게 임하시고 나를 통해 영광 받기를 기뻐하실 때에 육신의 생각과 타협하지 마십시오. 아나니아와 삽비라가 영광의 문턱에서 어둠으로 떨어진 이유를 알았다면 육신의 생각을 다스려야 할 것입니다.

"죄가 너를 원하나 너는 죄를 다스릴지니라"(창4:7).

죄가 무엇입니까? 계명을 범하는 것입니다. 적극적인 죄는 선을 행할 줄 알고도 행하지 않는 것입니다. 이러한 죄를 다스려야 합니다. 하지만 더 깊은 죄는 성령을 거역하고 소멸하는 행위입니다.

"스스로 속이지 말라 하나님은 업신여김을 받지 아니하시나니 사람이 무엇으로 심든지 그대로 거두리라 자기의 육체를 위하여 심는 자는 육체로부터 썩어질 것을 거두고 성령을 위하여 심는 자는 성령으로부터 영생을 거두리라"(갈6:7-8).

주님께서 죄인 된 나를 통해 영광 받으시기를 기뻐하실 때 기회를 잃지 마십시오. 우리 모두 거룩한 헌신으로 영광에 이르기를 소원합니다.

 

3. 성령을 속인 죄

"베드로가 이르되 아나니아야 어찌하여 사탄이 네 마음에 가득하여 네가 성령을 속이고 땅값 얼마를 감추었느냐"(3절).

너무도 놀라운 충격입니다.

베드로는 아나니아 마음속의 사탄을 볼 수 있었으나 아나니아 부부는 그것을 알지 못하고 있었습니다. 은 삼십에 메시아를 팔아먹은 가룟 유다를 보십시오. 자기가 하는 일을 자기가 알지 못했습니다. 그러므로 악인들이 악한 일을 할 때 담대하게 하는 것입니다.

여러분! 마귀는 우리에게 예고하고 들어오지 않습니다. 또 마귀가 역사할 때는 육신의 욕구를 충동하여 멸망에 빠뜨린다는 것을 알아야 합니다. 마귀의 올무를 주의하십시오. 진리의 멍에 아래서 참된 자유를 누리시기 소원합니다.

"땅이 그대로 있을 때에는 네 땅이 아니며 판 후에도 네 마음대로 할 수가 없더냐"(4절).

가슴 아픈 일이 아닐 수 없습니다. 아직도 기회는 있습니다. 물질에 대해 관리권이 보장되어 있을 때 선용하여 하나님께 영광을 돌리십시오.

누구를 막론하고 성실하고 근면하게 사는 자가 충분한 보상을 받는 것이 마땅합니다. 그리고 국민들도 당대에 모은 재산은 사회에 환원할 줄 아는 성숙함이 있어야 할 것입니다.

어떻게 살든지 살다가 죽는 것은 마찬가지라고 하는 자들도 있지만 이는 영혼 없는 짐승에게 해당 되는 말이지요. 사람은 남기는 업적이 중요함을 알아야 합니다.

"어찌하여 이 일을 네 마음에 두었느냐 사람에게 거짓말 한 것이 아니요 하나님께로다"(4절).

사탄의 유혹을 주의하십시오. 그는 땅 값 일부를 바치는 것마저 후회하고 있었을지도 모릅니다. 사탄과 타협하지 마십시오. 육신의 생각은 다스려야 합니다.

성도 중에서 우리 교회에 등록하고 얼마 되지 않아 거액의 헌금을 작정하고 절반은 했는데 절반은 하지 못해 어려움을 당하다가 기회를 얻어 나머지를 한 다음 열 배의 복을 받았다고 간증하는 이야기를 들었습니다.

여러분! 하나님께서 대책 없이 요구하시는 줄로 생각하지 마십시오. 오히려 주님께서 내게 요구하는 것이 있다면 그것이 내가 누릴 영광이요 복이 됨을 믿으시기 바랍니다.

"너희는 맞은 편 마을로 가라 그리로 들어가면 아직 아무도 타 보지 않은 나귀 새끼가 매여 있는 것을 보리니 풀어 끌고 오라 만일 누가 너희에게 어찌하여 푸느냐 묻거든 말하기를 주가 쓰시겠다 하라“(눅19:30-31).

 

4. 삽비라가 받은 저주

전도자를 박해하고 죽이는 원수들은 즉각적인 심판이 없었는데 성물에 관한 죄는 즉시 심판을 내렸습니다. 혼이 떠나므로 죽은 아나니아를 젊은 사람들이 장사지내고, 세 시간쯤 후에 그 아내 삽비라가 나타났습니다. 저주의 죽음이라 누구도 위로하고 슬퍼할 여지도 없었습니다. 중요한 교회의 초석을 내려놓는 자리에 불의가 용납될 수 없었기 때문입니다. 구제와 봉사하는 일에 일생을 바쳤던 도르가의 죽음과는 대조가 되는 죽음입니다.

"베드로가 이르되 그 땅 판 값이 이것뿐이냐 내게 말하라 하니 이르되 예 이것뿐이라"(8절).

부부가 의논하고 저지른 일이므로 알면서도 거짓말을 하고 말았습니다. 부부는 같으니까 산다고는 하지만 이렇게 저주받을 일까지 같아서야 되겠는가 하는 생각이 듭니다. 정신을 차려야 합니다. 우리는 수넴 여인같이 가정을 복 받게 하는 현숙한 믿음의 사람이 되어야 합니다.

초대 교회에서 일어난 아나니아와 삽비라의 망령된 행위가 우리에게 주는 교훈이 너무도 큽니다. 그러므로 우리를 멸망으로 빠지게 하는 사탄을 물리치고 은혜 가운데서 열매 맺는 성도들이 되기 소원합니다.

"베드로가 이르되 너희가 어찌 함께 꾀하여 주의 영을 시험하려 하느냐 보라 네 남편을 장사하고 오는 사람들의 발이 문 앞에 이르렀으니 또 너를 메어 내가리라 하니 곧 그가 베드로의 발 앞에 엎드러져 혼이 떠나는지라 젊은 사람들이 들어와 죽은 것을 보고 메어다가 그의 남편 곁에 장사하니"(9-10).

마치 드라마에서나 있을 법한 일이지만 각본도 연극도 아닌 사실입니다. 그때 베드로가 충격 요법이나 고성으로 저주하지 않았습니다. 또한 그들에게 한 번의 회개할 기회도 없이 죽게 한 것이 과연 하나님의 뜻이었을까 하는 생각도 할 수 있습니다. 그러나 분명한 것은 그들의 지은 죄가 사람에게가 아닌 하나님에게요, 저주도 하나님으로 말미암아서였다는 것입니다. 성물에 대한 죄가 이렇게 무서움을 알았다면 마귀의 유혹을 조심해야 합니다. 우리는 하나님의 전신갑주로 사탄을 물리쳐서 승리하는 성도들이 되시기를 소원합니다.

 

5. 더욱 견고해지는 믿음

"온 교회와 이 일을 듣는 사람들이 다 크게 두려워하니라"(11절).

이는 신앙의 뿌리가 더욱 깊어짐을 의미합니다. 경건의 능력을 잃지 않도록 주의하십시오. 어떤 사람에게 생명과 능력의 역사가 일어납니까? 하나님 두려운 줄 알고 진리에 바로 서서 섬기는 사람입니다.

아나니아와 삽비라의 심판은 성물에 대한 경각심을 일깨워주는 교훈입니다. 성령이 내게 임하시고 나를 통해 영광받기를 기뻐하실 때 혈육과 의논하지 말고 결단할 줄 알아야 합니다. 욕된 것, 없어질 것, 썩어질 것을 심고 영원한 것을 수확하는 성도들이 되시기를 기원합니다. - 아멘 -

 

 

God's Judgment

Acts 5:1-11

 

The church, which was born through the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, did not give in and kept the faith despite fiery trials and persecutions caused by the priests, elders, and Jews. In addition, the zeal for missions burned even more, and the number of believers who were being saved increased exponentially, reaching 3,000 or 5,000.

However, in the text, the cursed incident occurred in such a gracious church. What we need to realize here is that we should be careful not only with external tests, but also with internal tests.

 

1. The mind of the spirit and the mind of the flesh

From Acts 4:32-37, it is an ideal church that is accomplished by the Holy Spirit, showing beautiful devotion and service. In particular, Barnabas, named Joseph, disposed of his property and put the price at the apostles' feet. At that time, Ananias and Sapphira also made a vow to sell their possessions to God. That grace is important. It cannot be done without the strong work of the Holy Spirit.

As a result, what would have happened if Ananias and Sapphira had not made up their minds and made a vow to God at that time? I don't think there was any damnation. However, when the Holy Spirit delights in being glorified through me, those who dedicate themselves will be blessed and attain eternal glory.

Anytime or anything else, be obedient to the Lord. If you lose your chance, you will regret it. Mary devoted her life to becoming Our Lady, and Paul dedicated her to become a saint. Do you want to reach the glory of the Lord? I pray that you will receive the grace to bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Compare Barnabas and Ananias. They sold their possessions and gave it to God, but in the end, they appear as blessings and curses. This is a material test, not a doctrinal matter. What is the Gospel?

“Believe in the Lord Jesus and give all that you have, and you and your household will be saved.” That is not the case. If so, it cannot be called salvation by grace.

You must know that the truth cannot be bought with money just as money cannot buy life. Of course, material is necessary for the life of a person. However, although material things can be food for the body, they cannot be food for eternal life. Therefore, we desire that we turn away from the mind of the flesh, which is perishing, and follow the mind of the spirit to life and peace.

 

2. Blessings and Curses

 

“A man named Ananias, along with his wife Sapphira, sold her possessions and hid some from the price, and his wife knew it” (verses 1-2).

Ananias robbed the holy things, and Sapphira was guilty of sharing in it. Matter will become indispensable during human life. However, there are substances that are blessed by taking the same substance, and substances that are an insult. Therefore, if you do not discern this and lean toward water lust, you will lose your soul.

“Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh to live according to the flesh. If you live according to the flesh, you will surely die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Anyone who is led by the Spirit of God is a son of God. ” (Romans 8:12-14).

“They brought some and put them at the apostles’ feet” (verse 2).

If you think about it, it can be said that such a decision is terrific. The apostles did not then use coercive means to obtain the material. Otherwise, it would have been hard to believe. All were by God's grace.

The important thing is not to commit the sin of rebellion or extinction when the Holy Spirit rejoices to be glorified upon me. The Holy Spirit works through those who will surely be blessed. Remember, life and the work of the Holy Spirit require holy devotion.

These are the words of God that he requested from Abraham, the father of faith.

“Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah and offer him there as a burnt offering on a mountain that I have told you about” (Genesis 22:2).

At that time, Abraham obeyed and became the father of faith.

"Peace be with you, you who have been favored, for the Lord is with you...I am your servant, it will be done to me according to your word" (Luke 1:28, 38).

With Mary's dedication, a new history of the city was accomplished.

Remember. If Abraham disobeyed the Lord's will or did not have Mary's dedication, would God's work of salvation be hindered? They should know that if they lose the opportunity, they will lose the glory of the Lord.

“You are in the palace, and do not think that you alone will save your life among all the Jews. At this time, if you remain silent, the Jews will be set free and delivered by other sources, but you and your father’s house will perish. Who knows whether it is not for the sake of God” (Esther 4:13-14).

Esther's decision made her the protagonist of a new history. It is the same today. When the Holy Spirit comes upon me and rejoices to be glorified through me, do not compromise with the thoughts of the flesh. If you knew why Ananias and Sapphira fell from the threshold of glory into darkness, you would have to rule the mind of the flesh.

“Sin desires you, but you must rule over it” (Genesis 4:7).

What is sin? It is breaking the commandment. Active sin is knowing how to do good and not doing it. These sins must be dealt with. But a deeper sin is the act of disobeying the Holy Spirit and consuming it.

“Do not deceive yourself, for God is not despised, for whatever a man sows he will also reap. He who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but whoever sows to the Spirit will also reap eternal life from the Spirit” (Galatians 6: 7-8).

Don't lose your chance when the Lord is pleased to be glorified through me as a sinner. May we all reach glory with holy devotion.

 

3. The sin of deceiving the Holy Spirit

“Peter said to him, Ananias, why is Satan so full in your heart, that you have deceived the Holy Spirit and hid the price of the land” (verse 3).

It's such a shocking surprise.

Peter could see Satan in Ananias' heart, but the Ananias and his wife did not know it. Look at Judas Iscariot, who sold the Messiah for thirty pieces of silver. She didn't know what she was doing. Therefore, when the wicked do evil, it is to be bold.

everyone! The devil warns us and does not come in. Also, when the devil works, you must know that he drives the desires of the flesh and leads them to destruction. Beware of the devil's snare. May you enjoy true freedom under the yoke of truth.

“When the land remained, it was not yours, and after it was sold, was it not yours?” (verse 4).

It can be heartbreaking. There is still a chance. When you have the right to control your material, use it for good and give glory to God.

No matter who you are, a person who is sincere and hardworking deserves a full reward. And the people should have the maturity to give back to society the wealth they have accumulated at the time.

There are those who say that living and dying is the same no matter how you live, but this is true of soulless beasts. People should know that the achievements they leave behind are important.

“Why have you put this in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God” (verse 4).

Beware of Satan's temptations. He may have even regretted paying part of the price of the land. Do not compromise with Satan. The mind of the flesh must be controlled.

Among the members of our church, shortly after registering with our church, they decided to donate a large amount of money, did half of it, but couldn't do half of it.

everyone! Don't think that God is asking for nothing. Rather, if there is anything the Lord requires of me, please believe that it will be my glory and blessing.

“Go into the village opposite, and when you enter there, you will find a colt tied up, which no one has ridden yet. Untie it and bring it along. If anyone asks you why you untie it, say, The Lord will use it.” (Luke 19:30- 31).

 

4. The Curse of Sapphira

There was no immediate judgment on the enemies who persecuted and killed the evangelist, but the sin against holy things was immediately judged. As her soul departed, Ananias, who had died, was buried by young men, and about three hours later her wife Sapphira appeared. Because it was a cursed death, there was no room for anyone to comfort and mourn. Because injustice was unacceptable for her to lay the cornerstone of an important church. It is a death in contrast to the death of Dorga, who devoted his life to giving and serving.

“Peter said to him, “Is this the only price for the land?

It was something the couple had discussed and committed, so they lied knowingly. They say they live because they are the same, but I wonder if it should be the same until they are cursed like this. You have to calm down. Like the Shunammite woman, we must become men of virtuous faith who can bless families.

The lessons that Ananias and Sapphira did in the early church are too great to teach us. Therefore, I hope that we will overcome Satan, who leads us into destruction, and become saints who bear fruit in grace.

"Peter said to him, "How can you conspire together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who come to bury your husband are at the door, and they will carry you away." Immediately he fell at Peter's feet and his soul departed. When she came in, she saw that she was dead, and she carried her and buried her with her husband" (9-10).

It seems like something that only happens in a drama, but it is a fact that is neither a script nor a play. At that time, Peter did not curse with shock therapy or loud voices. You may also wonder if it was God's will for them to die without even a single chance of repenting. But what is clear is that their sins were not against men, but against God, and the curse was also from God. If you know that sin against holy things is so terrifying, you should beware of the devil's temptations. We hope that we will become victorious saints by defeating Satan with the full armor of God.

 

5. Faith that grows stronger

“The whole church and all who heard it were greatly afraid” (verse 11).

This means that the roots of our faith deepen. Be careful not to lose the power of godliness. To whom does the work of life and power take place? He is a person who knows the fear of God and stands upright in the truth to serve.

The judgment of Ananias and Sapphira is a lesson that awakens our awareness of the holy things. When the Holy Spirit comes on me and he delights in being glorified through me, we must learn to make a decision without discussing with flesh and blood. I pray that you will become saints who sow things that are disgraceful, that which perish, and those that perish, and who reap eternal things. - Amen -
