우리를 보라

행3:1-10

 

오순절 성령 강림 사건 이후, 베드로와 요한이 제 구시 기도 시간에 기도하러 성전에 올라가다가 성전 미문에서 구걸하던 앉은뱅이를 일으켰는데 이 일 외에도 사도들을 통해서 많은 기사와 표적이 일어났습니다(행2:43).

하나님께서는 일정한 방법이 아닌 다양한 방법으로 역사하십니다.

 

1. 정해진 기도 시간

유대인들은 하루에 세 번씩, 제 삼시, 여섯 시, 아홉 시에 기도를 올렸습니다. 이는 대단한 정성이라 할 수 있습니다. 사실 기도는 횟수에 의미가 있는 것이 아니라 누구에게 올리느냐가 중요하고, 또 응답받는 기도가 더욱 중요합니다.

다니엘도 하루에 세 번씩 기도하였고, 이로 인해 사자 굴에 들어갈 줄 알면서 그 기도는 그치지를 않았습니다. 그로 인해 다니엘을 죽이려고 했던 원수들이 사자의 밥이 되고 다니엘은 더 존귀한 되었던 것입니다. 기도는 이렇게 귀중합니다. 사무엘도 자기 백성을 위해 기도하기를 쉬는 죄를 범하지 않으리라 하였습니다.

역사적인 인물들은 모두가 기도의 사람이요, 또 위대한 업적은 기도로 말미암아 일어나게 되었음을 알 수 있습니다. 그러므로 우리는 기도해야 합니다. 기도 시간을 정하고 기도하는 것은 더욱 중요합니다.

우리에게는 규칙적인 기도가 필요합니다. 심각한 문제라면 더 간절한 마음으로 기도하고 또 수시로 기도하시기 바랍니다. 한 번, 두 번 기도하여 응답이 없다고 낙심하지 마십시오.

"하나님께서 그 밤낮 부르짖는 택하신 자들의 원한을 풀어주지 아니하시겠느냐 그들에게 오래 참으시겠느냐"(눅18:7) 하셨습니다.

우리 모두 주님의 약속을 붙들고 기도하여 응답받는 성도들이 되시기를 소원합니다.

 

2. 메고 온 앉은뱅이

저는 토요일이 되면 사우나에서 아는 분을 만나게 됩니다. 그분은 어린 아들과 함께하고, 저는 아버님을 모시고 사우나를 합니다.

사람이 사는 동안 스스로 자립하며 살아가는 시간이 얼마나 될까요? 어릴 때는 어려서 못하지요. 또한 성장할 때에는 배운다고 못합니다. 장성하여도 사람의 됨됨이에 따라 역시 천차만별이지요. 거기다 쉬는 시간, 잠자는 시간, 먹는 시간, 또 병들고 약해서 치료를 받는 시간, 그러다 보면 인생은 황혼기에 이르게 되니 과연 베틀의 북과 같이 빠르게 지나가는 것이 인생임을 알게 됩니다. 그러므로 여력이 있을 때 좋은 일을 많이 하십시오. 이것만이 내게 있어 가장 값진 업적으로 남게 될 것입니다. 성전 미문에서 구걸하는 앉은뱅이를 보십시오. 그는 태어날 때부터 앉은뱅이였으므로 자립할 수 없는 사람입니다.

우리는 영적인 앉은뱅이가 되지 않아야 합니다. 건강한 몸으로 세상에 태어난 것을 하나님께 감사드리고 열심으로 주님을 섬기고 선한 일에 힘쓰는 자가 되어야 하겠습니다.

"그가 베드로와 요한이 성전에 들어가려 함을 보고 구걸하거늘 베드로가 요한과 더불어 주목하여 이르되 우리를 보라 하니"(3-4).

날마다 그 자리에서 구걸하던 이 앉은뱅이는 베드로와 요한을 대했을 때도 마찬가지였습니다. 어쩌면 도움을 구하는 일에 익숙해졌을 뿐 아니라 멸시와 천대도 익혀졌을는지도 모릅니다.

"그가 그들에게 무엇을 얻을까 하여 바라보거늘"(5절).

여기서 사도들과 앉은뱅이는 각기 다른 눈으로 마주 보게 되었습니다. 사도들은 이 앉은뱅이의 운명을 측은히 여겼으나 앉은뱅이는 물질적인 동정을 기대했습니다. 그가 앉은뱅이라 하여 구원받는 일이나 병 낫기를 원하는 마음이야 왜 없었겠습니까마는 이미 체념하고 이것이 자기의 운명임을 받아들이고 있었을 것입니다. 그러나 사도들은 달랐습니다. 이 사람에게 옅은 동정을 베풀고자 하는 것이 아니라 하나님의 선물을 전달해야겠다는 사명감이 있었습니다.

여러분! 오늘 우리에게 이러한 사명감이 있습니까? 기도해야 합니다. 하나님의 능력은 사명 의식이 있는 자를 통해서 나타나게 됩니다. 내게 있어 이러한 능력이 없다 해도 염려하지 마십시오. 각기 받은 달란트가 다르기 때문입니다. 다만 어떻게 쓰임을 받든지 주의 손길을 대신하여 봉사하면 족할 것입니다.

몸으로 드리는 봉사도 마찬가지입니다. 내 손길과 발길이 주님의 이름으로 쓰임을 받을 때 성령의 열매가 맺혀집니다. 모두가 달란트대로 마음을 같이 하고 정성을 다해 하나님께 영광 돌리시기 바랍니다.

 

3. 가장 귀한 선물

"베드로가 이르되 은과 금은 내게 없거니와 내게 있는 이것을 네게 주노니 나사렛 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 일어나 걸으라 하고 오른손을 잡아 일으키니 발과 발목이 곧 힘을 얻고 뛰어 서서 걸으며 그들과 함께 성전으로 들어가면서 걷기도 하고 뛰기도 하며 하나님을 찬송하니"(6-8절).

얼마나 놀라운 은혜입니까? 이 일은 마치 죽은 나사로가 무덤에서 나온 사건과도 비길 만큼 놀라운 사건입니다.

"은과 금은 내게 없거니와"

주의 종들은 당연히 물질을 초월해야 하지만 물질이 필요 없다는 것은 아닙니다. 바울의 물질관입니다.

"내가 궁핍하므로 말하는 것이 아니니라 어떠한 형편에든지 나는 자족하기를 배웠노니 나는 비천에 처할 줄도 알고 풍부에 처할 줄도 알아 모든 일 곧 배부름과 배고픔과 풍부와 궁핍에도 처할 줄 아는 일체의 비결을 배웠노라 내게 능력주시는 자 안에서 내가 모든 것을 할 수 있느니라"(빌4:11-12).

이것은 물질의 필요성을 부인하는 말씀이 아닙니다. 다만 육신의 불편에 비해 복음이 너무 귀하기 때문에 어떤 희생도 감수할 수 있다는 말씀입니다.

"빌립보 사람들아 너희도 알거니와 복음의 시초에 내가 마게도냐를 떠날 때에 주고받는 내 일에 참여한 교회가 너희 외에 아무도 없었느니라 데살로니가에 있을 때에도 너희가 한 번 뿐 아니라 두 번이나 나의 쓸 것을 보내었도다"(빌4:15-16).

왜 주님께서는 오병이어의 기적, 칠병이어의 기적을 계속해서 행하지 않은 줄 아십니까? 능력이 부족해서가 아닙니다. 하나님의 능력이 무한할지라도 오직 봉사하는 손길을 통해 열매 맺기를 원해서였습니다.

"내가 선물을 구함이 아니요 오직 너희에게 유익하도록 풍성한 열매를 구함이라 내게는 모든 것이 있고 또 풍부한지라 에바브로디도 편에 너희가 준 것을 받으므로 내가 풍족하니 이는 받으실 만한 향기로운 제물이요 하나님을 기쁘시게 한 것이라"(빌4:17-18).

이러한 은혜가 우리 모두에게 풍성하기를 바랍니다.

"내게 있는 것으로 네게 주노니"(6절).

전도자에게 가장 귀중한 재산이 있다면 복음이요, 권능이 있다면 역시 복음입니다.

전도자에게 복음이 없다면 어떻게 전도를 할 수 있겠느냐고 하겠으나 문제는 주의 복음이 살아서 역사할 때 이러한 권능이 나타나기 때문입니다. 누가 베드로와 요한을 그처럼 담대하게 하였습니까? 하나님의 은혜요, 능력이었습니다.

물론 그때 은과 금이 있었다고 할지라도 사도들은 앉은뱅이의 요구대로 물질 구제로 만족할 수 없었을 것입니다. 왜냐하면 구제와 동정은 근본적인 해결책이 되지 못하기 때문입니다. 그러나 주의 손길은 앉은뱅이를 일으켰습니다.

 

4. 하나님께 영광

"뛰어 서서 걸으며 그들과 함께 성전으로 들어가면서 걷기도 하고 뛰기도 하며 하나님을 찬송하니"(8절).

그 사람이 베드로와 요한을 통해 일어나게 되었으나 사도들은 자기들의 경건이나 능력에서가 아닌, 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 일어나게 한 것입니다. 이것이 전도자들의 기쁨이었습니다. 살든지 죽든지 내 몸에서 그리스도가 존귀하게 되기를 원하는 그 믿음으로 전도자 바울이 존귀한 사람이 되었다면 베드로와 요한도 마찬가지였습니다.

"그가 본래 성전 미문에 앉아 구걸하던 사람인 줄 알고 그에게 일어난 일을 인하여 심히 놀랍게 여기며 놀라니라"(10절).

그때 베드로가 청중들을 향하여 외친 말입니다.

"베드로가 이것을 보고 백성에게 말하되 이스라엘 사람들아 이 일을 왜 놀랍게 여기느냐 우리 개인의 권능과 경건으로 이 사람을 걷게 한 것처럼 왜 우리를 주목하느냐"(12절).

이렇게 어떠한 능력의 역사가 일어났다 할지라도 자신을 낮추고 오직 주님께만 영광을 돌리는 그 믿음이 보배입니다.

"그 이름을 믿으므로 그 이름이 너희 보고 아는 이 사람을 성하게 하였나니 예수로 말미암아 난 믿음이 너희 모든 사람 앞에서 이같이 완전히 낫게 하였느니라"(16절).

그리스도 예수의 복음은 오늘도 살아서 역사하십니다. 이 진리와 생명의 역사가 주님께서 우리를 도구로 삼아 쓰실 때에 일어날 줄 믿습니다. 우리 모두 충직한 증인으로 주님의 영광 드러내는 일에 앞장서기를 기원합니다. - 아멘 -

Acts 3:1-10

 

After the Pentecost, when Peter and John were going up to the temple to pray during the ninth hour of prayer, they raised a lame beggar at the beautiful gate of the temple. Besides this, many wonders and signs also occurred through the apostles (Acts 2:43) .

God works in a variety of ways, not in a certain way.

 

1. Set Prayer Time

The Jews prayed three times a day, at the third, six and nine o'clock. This can be called great sincerity. In fact, the number of prayers does not have any meaning, but who you pray to, and the prayer you receive is more important.

Daniel also prayed three times a day, and because of this, he knew how to enter the lions' den, but he did not stop praying. As a result, the enemies who tried to kill Daniel became food for the lions, and Daniel became more noble. Prayer is so precious. Samuel also said that he would not commit the sin of ceasing to pray for his people.

All of the historical figures are people of prayer, and we can see that great works were accomplished through prayer. Therefore, we must pray. It is even more important to set a prayer time and pray.

We need regular prayer. If it is a serious problem, please pray more earnestly and pray more often. Do not be discouraged if you pray once or twice and there is no answer.

He said, "Will God not avenge the elect, who cry out day and night, will he be patient with them?" (Luke 18:7).

We hope that all of us will become believers who hold on to the Lord's promises, pray and receive answers.

 

2. The crippled crippled

On Saturdays, I meet someone I know at the sauna. He is with his young son, and I take his father to the sauna.

How long will a person spend while living independently? When I was young, I couldn't Also, you can't learn when you grow up. Even when they grow up, they are also very different according to the person they become. In addition to the time to rest, the time to sleep, the time to eat, and the time to receive treatment for being sick and weak, life will reach the twilight period, and you will realize that life is a fast passing like a loom's drum. So, when you can afford it, do a lot of good things. This alone will remain the most valuable achievement for me. Look at the lame begging at the beautiful gates of the temple. He has been crippled from birth, so he is unable to stand on his own.

We must not become spiritual cripples. We should thank God for being born into the world with a healthy body, serve the Lord fervently, and strive for good works.

“When he saw Peter and John going into the temple, he begged, but Peter and John looked at him and said, ‘Look at us’” (3-4).

This lame man who was begging on the spot every day was the same when he treated Peter and John. Perhaps he was not only accustomed to asking for help, but also accustomed to contempt and disdain.

“He looked to see what he might get from them” (verse 5).

Here the apostles and the crippled faced each other with different eyes. The apostles felt pity for this lame man, but the lame expected material sympathy. He must have already resigned and accepted that this was his destiny. But the apostles were different. I had a sense of duty to pass on the gift of God, not to show this person a little sympathy.

everyone! Do we have this sense of duty today? You must pray. God's power is revealed through those who have a sense of mission. Don't worry if I don't have this ability. This is because the talents they received are different. However, no matter how it is used, serving in the Lord's hand will suffice.

The same is true of body service. When my hands and feet are used in the name of the Lord, the fruits of the Holy Spirit are produced. I hope that everyone will share their talents with one another and glorify God with all their heart.

 

3. The most precious gift

"Silver and gold I do not have," Peter said, "I do not have silver and gold, but what I have I give you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Get up and walk." He took his right hand and got him up. They walked and jumped and praised God” (verses 6-8).

What a wonderful grace. This event is so astonishing that it is comparable to that of Lazarus coming out of the tomb.

“Silver and gold I have none.”

Of course, the servants of the Lord must transcend matter, but that does not mean that they do not need matter. Paul's view of materialism.

“I am not saying this because I am in need, but in any circumstance I have learned to be content. I know how to be humble and I know how to abound. No, I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:11-12).

This is not to deny the necessity of material things. However, it is saying that we can make any sacrifices because the gospel is so precious compared to our physical discomfort.

“You Philippians, you know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church took part in my work of giving and receiving except you. Even in Thessalonica, you sent me not only once but twice as much for my needs.” (Philippians 4:15-16).

Do you know why the Lord did not continue to perform the miracles of five and seven? It's not about lack of ability. Although God's power is infinite, he only wanted to bear fruit through his hands of service.

“I am not asking for a gift, but an abundance of fruit for your own benefit. I have all that I have, and I have an abundance. On the part of Epaphroditus I have received what you have given, and I am content, an acceptable fragrant offering, pleasing to God. "(Philippians 4:17-18).

May this grace be abundant for all of us.

“What I have I give to you” (verse 6).

If an evangelist has the most valuable property, it is the gospel, and if there is power, it is also the gospel.

If the evangelist does not have the gospel, he will say how can he do evangelism, but the problem is that this power is revealed when the Lord's gospel is alive and working. Who made Peter and John so bold? It was God's grace and power.

Of course, even if there was silver and gold at that time, the apostles would not have been satisfied with the material aid that the lame demanded. Because relief and sympathy are not fundAmental solutions. But the hand of the Lord made him crippled.

 

4. Glory to God

“We jumped and walked and went into the temple with them, walking and jumping, praising God” (verse 8).

That man was raised through Peter and John, but the apostles did it not out of their piety or power, but in the name of Jesus Christ. This was the joy of the evangelists. If Paul the evangelist became a noble person through the faith that wanted Christ to be exalted in my body, whether by life or death, so did Peter and John.

“When I realized that he was the one who used to sit begging at the beautiful gate of the temple, I was amazed and amazed at what had happened to him” (verse 10).

Then Peter cried out to the audience.

“When Peter saw this, he said to the people, “Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this?

No matter what kind of work of power has happened, that faith that humbles oneself and gives glory only to the Lord is a treasure.

“By believing in his name, his name has made this man whom you have seen and known, and the faith that is through Jesus has thus completely healed you in the sight of all of you” (verse 16).

The gospel of Christ Jesus is alive and working today. We believe that this truth and the work of life will happen when the Lord uses us as tools. We pray that we will all take the lead in revealing the glory of the Lord as faithful witnesses. - Amen -
