이상적인 교회

행2:37-47

 

오순절 성령 강림은 지상교회의 탄생을 뜻합니다. 본문 말씀은 성령으로 세워진 이상적인 교회 상, 곧 지상에 이룩된 천국이라 하겠습니다. 시내산에서 모세가 영감으로 받은 성전의 설계도에 따라 솔로몬의 성전이 세워진 것같이, 초대 교회는 지상교회의 원형이기 때문입니다. 지상교회와 천상교회를 비교해 보면 지상교회는 전투적인 교회로 불완전한 교회요, 천상교회는 완전한 교회 곧 승리한 교회입니다.

 

1. 말씀이 살아서 역사하는 교회

베드로의 설교를 들은 청중들은 마음이 움직이기 시작했습니다.

"그들이 이 말을 듣고 마음에 찔려 베드로와 다른 사도들에게 물어 이르되 형제들아 우리가 어찌할꼬 하거늘"(37절).

이는 말씀이 살아있다는 증거입니다. 서기관들과 바리새인들이 고발할 조건을 얻고자 하여 음행 중에 잡힌 여자를 끌고 왔을 때 주님께서 하신 말씀입니다.

“너희 중에 죄 없는 자가 먼저 돌로 치라 하시고 다시 몸을 굽혀 손가락으로 땅에 쓰시니 그들이 이 말씀을 듣고 양심에 가책을 느껴 어른으로 시작하여 젊은이까지 하나씩 하나씩 나가고 오직 예수와 가 사운데 섰는 여자만 남았더라”(요8:7-9).

이것이 경건의 능력입니다. 교회의 생명은 살아서 역사하시는 하나님의 말씀입니다. 말씀은 기록된 진리 곧 로고스가 있는가 하면, 지금도 역사하시는 레마가 있습니다. 그러므로 교회는 로고스의 말씀이 "레마" 곧 영감의 말씀으로 선포되어야 합니다.

베드로의 설교는 선지자의 예언으로 기록된 진리로서 살아서 역사하는 말씀으로 선포된 것입니다. 물론 주의 말씀이 항상 책망으로만 나타나는 것은 아닙니다. 오히려 병들고, 가난하고, 좌절과 낙심에 빠진 사람에게는 위로와 소망, 또 새 힘을 줍니다.

의사가 진단을 바로 해야 처방을 제대로 할 수가 있습니다. 그런데 환자가 치료받기를 거절한다면 목숨을 잃을 것입니다. 우리의 영혼도 마찬가지입니다.

제가 미국 LA. 오렌지 장로 교회에서 집회했을 때 이야기입니다. 기도 받기를 원하는 분들에게 기도했는데, 그 교회 목사님의 사모님이 기도를 받고, 또 자녀들도 모두 기도를 받았습니다. 그 후에 대학에 다니는 막내아들이 말하기를, "엄마, 이상해요. 강사 목사님이 우리 사정을 어떻게 알까요?" 했다고 합니다. 사실 제가 어떻게 알 수 없지요. 그러나 성령은 아십니다. 뿐만 아니라 성령은 치유의 은혜를 베푸셔서 병도 치료될 수 있었습니다.

여러분! 성령이 역사하실 때 겸손한 마음으로 순종하시기 바랍니다.

"그러므로 성령이 이르신 바와 같이 오늘 너희가 그의 음성을 듣거든 광야에서 시험하던 날에 거역하던 것같이 너희 마음을 완고하게 하지 말라"(히3:7-8).

 

2. 회개의 역사가 일어나는 교회

"형제들아 우리가 어찌할꼬"(37절).

이는 막다른 골목에서 부르짖는 소리입니다. 오늘 우리들의 주변에서 매일 일어나는 교통사고를 보면 사람이 살았다고 할 수가 있을까 하는 생각이 듭니다. 불의의 사고로 목숨을 잃는 사람은 순식간에 변을 당하는 것입니다. 하지만 감사한 일은 어떤 경우에도 주님은 나를 버리지 않으신다는 것입니다.

"베드로가 이르되 너희가 회개하여 각각 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 세례를 받고 죄 사함을 받으라 그리하면 성령의 선물을 받으리니"(38절).

이것이 복음입니다. 어찌해야 좋을지 애태우는 사람이 있습니까? 그리스도의 보혈로 정결함을 받으십시오.

"그리하면 성령을 선물로 받으리니"

얼마나 귀중한 은혜입니까? 율법은 할례와 유월절 양으로 언약을 세웠으나 복음은 세례와 성찬 곧 그리스도의 살과 피로 세운 새 언약입니다. 율법으로는 이방인은 말할 것도 없거니와 유대인들도 구원받을 수가 없었으나 복음은 만민에게 소망을 주셨습니다. 기회를 잃지 마십시오.

"이 약속은 너희와 너희 자녀와 모든 먼 데 사람 곧 주 우리 하나님이 얼마든지 부르시는 자들에게 하신 것이라"(39절).

성령을 선물로 받으십시오. 값없이 주시는 은혜입니다. 성령은 죄 사함을 받고 새롭게 거듭나서 하나님의 자녀가 된 보증입니다.

"또 여러 말로 확증하며 권하여 이르되 너희가 이 패역한 세대에서 구원을 받으라 하니 그 말을 받은 사람들은 세례를 받으매 이날에 신도의 수가 삼천이나 더하더라"(40-41절).

이는 참으로 놀라운 은혜요, 엄청난 역사입니다. 오늘도 이 은혜가 일어나기를 바랍니다.

 

3. 사랑의 교제가 있는 교회

"그들이 사도의 가르침을 받아 서로 교제하고 떡을 떼며 오로지 기도하기를 힘쓰니라"(42절).

이제는 누구도 새 술에 취했다고 비방할 수 없게 된 것은 은혜를 체험했기 때문입니다.

"예수 예수 믿는 것은 받은 증거 많도다" 믿음의 증거는 이렇게도 귀합니다. 모두가 하나같이, 사도들을 통해 전달되는 말씀이 곧 나와 내 가정이 구원받을 하나님의 말씀임을 깨달았으므로 한 말씀도 땅에 떨어뜨릴 수가 없었습니다.

모두가 그리스도 예수 안에서 새로운 교제를 이루게 되었는데 이 교제라는 말은 여러 가지 의미를 담고 있습니다.

1) 교제(사귐) (fellowship, 고후6:14, 갈2:9)

은혜받은 성도는 서로 깊은 교제가 필요합니다. 그러므로 교회는 구역을 비롯해서 여러 부서와 교육기관과 조직이 있습니다.

특히 남녀 전도회를 통해서 활발한 교제가 이루어짐을 감사하지 않을 수 없습니다. 교회는 그리스도의 몸이요 우리는 지체로서 그리스도 안에서 하나 되는 일에 힘쓰는 성도들이 되어야 하겠습니다.

"아버지여, 아버지께서 내 안에, 내가 아버지 안에 있는 것같이 그들도 다 하나가 되어 우리 안에 있게 하사 세상으로 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 믿게 하옵소서"(요17:21).

2) 협력 (association, 빌2:1)

상부상조의 은혜입니다. 사람은 사회적인 동물입니다. 그러므로 협력은 신앙을 떠나 사회생활에서도 필요합니다. 세상에는 상생과 상극을 이루는 관계가 있습니다. 오늘 우리가 경계해야 할 원수가 누구며 협력해야 할 이웃은 누구인지 깨달았다면 성도지 간에 서로가 협력하여 하나님의 뜻을 이루어나가야 할 것입니다.

3) 헌금 (contribution, 고후9:13, 롬15:26)

생활이 넉넉지 못한데도 원인은 있겠으나 대개 성도들의 교제에는 헌금이 어려운 것 같습니다. 어떠한 단체나 조직이든지 소기의 목적을 위해서는 경비가 필요합니다. 사실 물질은 사람이 살아가는데 반드시 필요하나 많아도 문제가 되고 적어도 문제가 됩니다. 그래서 아굴은 "나를 가난하게도 마옵시고 부하게도 마옵시고 오직 필요한 양식으로 내게 먹이시옵소서 혹 내가 배불러서 하나님을 모른다 여호와가 누구냐 할까 하오며 혹 내가 가난하여 도둑질하고 내 하나님의 이름을 욕되게 할까 두려워함이니이다"(잠30:8-9) 하였습니다.

돈이 많아도 선한 사업에 부하고 나눠주기를 기뻐하는 재물이라면 욕이 될 이유가 없습니다. 초대 교회 성도들을 보십시오.

"믿는 사람이 다 함께 있어 모든 물건을 서로 통용하고 또 재산과 소유를 팔아 각 사람의 필요를 따라 나눠주며"(44-45).

모두가 은혜 충만, 진리 충만, 물질 충만이었습니다.

" 믿는 무리가 한 마음과 한뜻이 되어 모든 물건을 서로 통용하고 자기 재물을 조금이라도 자기 것이라 하는 이가 하나도 없더라"(행4:32).

그렇다면 누구의 것일까요?

"은혜로 받은 것 은혜로 드렸으니 모두가 주님의 것이로소이다" 이 믿음이었습니다. 이 얼마나 복된 믿음입니까?

"그중에 가난한 사람이 없으니 이는 밭과 집 있는 자는 팔아 그 판 것의 값을 가져다가 사도들의 발 앞에 두매 그들이 각 사람의 필요를 따라 나누어줌이라"(행4:34-35).

이를 가리켜 초대 교회 공산주의라고도 합니다. 그러나 유물 공산주의와 은혜 가운데서 나누는 봉사 생활은 근본적인 차이가 있습니다. 공산 종주국인 소련이 하루아침에 허무하게 무너져 내린 것을 우리는 목도 했습니다.

공산주의가 꿈꾸는 유토피아는 허구에 그칠 뿐이지만 은혜로 이루어지는 공평 사회는 그렇지 않습니다. 이는 농부가 밭을 갈다가 숨은 보화를 발견하고 재산을 모두 팔아 그 밭을 사는 것과 같이 물질을 심고 진리의 보화를 거둔 자들이기 때문입니다. 우리 모두 초대 교회와 같이 은혜와 진리, 물질적인 풍요의 복을 함께 누리시기 소원합니다.

 

4. 구원받는 숫자가 더해 가는 교회

"날마다 마음을 같이하여 성전에 모이기를 힘쓰고 집에서 떡을 떼며 기쁨과 순전한 마음으로 음식을 먹고 하나님을 찬미하며 또 온 백성에게 칭송을 받으니 주께서 구원받는 사람을 날마다 더하게 하시니라"(46-47).

이것이 땅에 이루어진 천국생활입니다.

"날마다 마음을 같이 하여 성전에 모이기를 힘쓰고"

모두가 은혜로 사는 몸, 순교의 정신이 불타고 있었습니다. 배와 그물도 버리고 주님과 함께하던 제자들이 이제는 성령의 역사로 수천 명의 헌신자를 얻게 되었습니다. 이제는 두려움도 사라지고 먹을 것과 입을 것을 염려할 필요도 없어졌습니다. 오직 나를 통해 하나님의 영광만이 높이 드러나고 이 복음이 온 세상에 퍼지기를 원하는 마음뿐이었습니다.

"하나님을 찬미하며 또 온 백성에게 칭송을 받으니 주께서 구원받는 사람을 날마다 더하게 하시니라"(47절). - 아멘 -

Acts 2:37-47

 

The coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost means the birth of the church on earth. The text of the text is the ideal church established by the Holy Spirit, that is, the kingdom of heaven established on earth. This is because the early church was the prototype of the earthly church, just as Solomon's temple was built according to the design of the temple inspired by Moses on Mount Sinai. If we compare the church on earth and the church in heaven, the church on earth is a militant church, an imperfect church, and the church in heaven is a perfect church, that is, a victorious church.

 

1. A church where the Word lives and works

The hearts of the audience who heard Peter's sermon began to move.

“When they heard this, they were cut to the heart and asked Peter and the other apostles, saying, “Brothers, what shall we do?” (verse 37).

This is proof that the Word is alive. These are the words of the Lord when the scribes and Pharisees brought a woman caught in fornication to obtain conditions for accusation.

“He who is without sin among you said, ‘Let him be the first to cast a stone. (John 8:7-9).

This is the power of godliness. The life of the church is the living and working Word of God. The Word has the written truth, the logos, and the rhema, which is still working. Therefore, the Church must proclaim that the Word of the Logos is a “rhema,” that is, the Word of inspiration.

Peter's sermon was the truth recorded in the prophet's prophecy, and was proclaimed as a living and working word. Of course, the word of the Lord does not always appear only as reproof. Rather, it gives comfort, hope, and refreshment to those who are sick, poor, frustrated and discouraged.

A doctor must make a diagnosis right away to be able to prescribe properly. But if the patient refuses to receive treatment, he will lose his life. So is our soul.

I am from LA. This is the story of a meeting at Orange Presbyterian Church. I prayed to those who wanted to receive prayers, and the pastor's wife's prayers were also received, and all of his children also received prayers. After that, the youngest son in college said, "Mom, it's strange. How does the lecturer and pastor know about our situation?" said to have done it. Actually I don't know how. But the Holy Spirit knows. In addition, the Holy Spirit was able to heal diseases by giving them the grace of healing.

everyone! When the Holy Spirit works, please obey with a humble heart.

“Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, if you hear his voice today, do not harden your hearts, as they were rebellious in the day of temptation in the wilderness” (Hebrews 3:7-8).

 

2. The church where the work of repentance takes place

“Brothers, what shall we do?” (verse 37).

It's a cry from a dead end. Looking at the traffic accidents that happen every day around us today, I wonder if it can be said that people were alive. A person who loses his or her life in an unexpected accident will be disfigured in an instant. But I am thankful that the Lord never forsakes me under any circumstances.

“Peter said to him, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (verse 38).

This is the gospel. Does anyone have a hard time figuring out what to do? Be cleansed by the blood of Christ.

“Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

How precious is your grace? The law established the covenant with circumcision and the Passover lamb, but the gospel is the new covenant established with baptism and the Lord's Supper, that is, the flesh and blood of Christ. According to the law, not to mention the Gentiles, neither the Jews nor the Jews could be saved, but the gospel has given hope to all nations. Don't lose your chance.

“This promise is made to you and to your children and to all who are far away, to whom the Lord our God may call” (verse 39).

Receive the Holy Spirit as a gift. It is a grace that is freely given. The Holy Spirit is the assurance that we have received the forgiveness of sins and have been born again and become a child of God.

“And they affirmed and persuaded them with many words, saying, ‘Be saved from this rebellious generation.’ Those who received the word were baptized, and the number of the believers increased that day by three thousand” (verses 40-41).

This is truly a wonderful grace, and a wonderful piece of history. I hope this grace will happen today.

 

3. A Church with Fellowship of Love

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer” (verse 42).

It is because he has experienced grace that no one can slander him for being drunk with new wine.

“Believing in Jesus Jesus has received many evidences.” The evidence of faith is so precious. As we all realized that the word delivered through the apostles is the word of God that will save me and my family, we could not drop a single word on the ground.

We all have a new fellowship in Christ Jesus, and this fellowship has many meanings.

1) Fellowship (fellowship, 2 Corinthians 6:14, Gal 2:9)

The saints who have received grace need deep fellowship with each other. Therefore, the Church has several departments, educational institutions and organizations, including districts.

In particular, I can't help but be grateful for the active fellowship through the men's and women's evangelism meetings. The church is the body of Christ, and we, as members, should strive to become one in Christ.

“Father, as you are in me and I in you, so they may all be one in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me” (John 17:21).

2) cooperation (Phil 2:1)

It is the grace of mutual aid. Man is a social animal. Therefore, cooperation is necessary not only in faith, but also in social life. In the world, there are mutually beneficial and opposite relationships. If we realize who is the enemy we need to be wary of today and who is the neighbor we should cooperate with, we will have to work together to accomplish God's will.

3) Contribution (2 Corinthians 9:13, Romans 15:26)

Although there is a reason for not having a good life, it seems that it is usually difficult to donate in the fellowship of the saints. Any organization or organization needs expenses for its intended purpose. In fact, materials are essential for human life, but if there are a lot of them, it is a problem, or at least a problem. So Agur said, "Do not make me poor or make me rich, but feed me with the bread I need, lest I be full and do not know God, say, Who is the LORD? “(Proverbs 30:8-9).

Even if you have a lot of money, there is no reason to be an insult if you are rich in good works and happy to share. Look at the early church members.

“All who believed were together, and all things were in common, and they sold their possessions and possessions, and gave to each one according to his need” (44-45).

All of them were full of grace, full of truth, and full of material things.

"The believers were of one mind and of one mind, and there was not one who said that all things were in common with one another, and that even a little of their possessions were theirs" (Acts 4:32).

If so, whose is it?

“What you have received by grace, you have given by grace, all are yours.” It was this faith. How blessed is this faith?

“There was no poor among them, for he who had fields and houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the sale, and laid them at the apostles’ feet, and they distributed it to each one according to their need” (Acts 4:34-35).

This is also called early church communism. However, there is a fundAmental difference between relic communism and a life of service shared in grace. We have witnessed the collapse of the Soviet Union, the suzerain of communism, in vain overnight.

The utopia that communism dreams of is only a fiction, but an equitable society made of grace is not. This is because, like a farmer who finds hidden treasure while plowing a field and sells all his possessions to buy the field, so are those who sow material things and reap the treasures of truth. I hope that all of us will enjoy the blessings of grace, truth, and material abundance together like the early church.

 

4. A church where the number of people being saved is increasing

“Every day they made every effort to gather together in the temple together, breaking bread at home, eating food with joy and sincerity, praising God and receiving praise from all the people, and the Lord added to the number of those who were being saved day by day” (46). -47).

This is the life in heaven on earth.

“Every day, we strive to gather together in the temple of the same heart.”

The body in which everyone lives by grace, the spirit of martyrdom was on fire. The disciples who had abandoned their boats and nets and were with the Lord now have thousands of devoted followers through the work of the Holy Spirit. Now the fear is gone and there is no need to worry about what to eat or what to wear. I only wanted the glory of God to be revealed high through me and spread this gospel all over the world.

“And they praised God and received favor with all the people, and the Lord added day by day those who were being saved” (verse 47). - Amen -
