이사야의 예언

요12:35-50

 

"무리가 대답하되 우리는 율법에서 그리스도가 영원히 계신다 함을 들었거늘 너는 어찌하여 인자가 들려야 하리라 하느냐 이 인자는 누구냐 예수께서 이르시되 아직 잠시 동안 빛이 너희 중에 있으니 빛이 있을 동안에 다녀 어둠에 붙잡히지 않게 하라 어둠에 다니는 자는 그 가는 곳을 알지 못하느니라"(34-35).

이렇게 주님께서는 임박한 고난과 죽음에 관한 일을 우회적으로 말씀하셨습니다(요8:12).

여기서 빛 되신 주님과 함께 있는 동안에 힘입을 은혜를 살펴보면,

1) 실족하지 않게 됩니다.

"빛이 있을 동안에 다녀 어둠에 붙잡히지 않게 하라"(35절)

자연 세계는 빛과 어둠, 낮과 밤이 있습니다. 그러나 진리의 세계는 그리스도가 곧 빛이요, 마귀는 어둠입니다. 마귀의 유혹을 조심하십시오. 마귀의 올무에 빠져들면 마귀의 노예가 되어 멸망한다는 사실을 깨달아야 합니다.

우리나라에 있었던 오대양 사건을 비롯하여 천구백칠십팔 년 미국의 사교집단인 인민사원 교도들이 남미 가이아나에서 벌인 구백이십삼 명의 집단 자살 사건과 또 스위스와 캐나다에서 일어난 종말론 신봉자들의 집단 자살 사건이 마귀의 올무에 빠져든 자들의 종말입니다.

2) 빛이 없으면 생의 목표를 알게 됩니다.

"어둠에 다니는 자는 그 가는 바를 알지 못하느니라"(35절).

아이들은 길을 잃으면 방향감각이 없으므로 엉뚱한 곳에 가서 헤매기도 합니다. 마찬가지로 장성한 사람도 진리를 등지면 영적인 고아요, 길 잃은 나그네로서 인생 여정을 잃게 됩니다.

3) 빛의 아들이 됩니다.

"너희에게 아직 빛이 있을 동안에 빛을 믿으라 그리하면 빛의 아들이 되리라"(36절).

빛 되신 주님을 믿으면 그 믿음을 통해 우리도 빛의 아들이 됩니다. 다시 말씀드리면 멸망 받아 마땅할 죄인을 의의 반열에 세워주신다는 말씀입니다. 이 은혜를 힘입은 우리는 하나님께 엎드려 경배를 드려야 합니다.

 

1. 숨으신 주님

"예수께서 이 말씀을 하시고 그들을 떠나가서 숨으시니라"(36절).

주님께서는 전에도 성전에서 진리를 강론하시다가 유대인들이 돌을 들어 치려하므로 숨어 나가신 때가 있었습니다(요8:59).

그때 베다니로 가셨다는 설도 있습니다. 그러나 누가복음에는,

"예수께서 낮에는 성전에서 가르치시고 밤에는 나가 감람원이라 하는 산에서 쉬시니"(눅21:37) 하였습니다.

불행이 있다면 유대인들이 그토록 고대하던 메시아가 오셨는데 메시아를 배척한 일입니다. 이러한 일이 우리에게는 없어야 합니다. 지난 토요일입니다. 가을비가 대지를 촉촉히 적시는데 Y집사님이 꽃꽂이를 하기 위해 꽃을 사서 사무실로 들어오는데 무척이나 반가웠습니다. 그런데 심하게 기침을 하기에 "집사님, 감기 들었네." 했더니 "목사님, 날씨가 변덕을 부리면 이렇게 기침을 합니다. 비염인지 모르겠어요, 그러나 저는 걱정이 없어요." 하기에 어떤 비법이 있는 줄 알고 "어떻게 하는데요?"하고 물었더니 "저는 목사님께 기도만 받으면 나으니까요" 했습니다. 그러고 보니 그 믿음이 얼마나 보배로운지 하나님께 영광을 돌렸습니다.

 

2. 이사야의 예언

"이렇게 많은 표적을 그들 앞에서 행하셨으나 그를 믿지 아니하니"(37절).

표적이 무엇입니까? 눈으로 볼 수 있는 증거입니다. 유대인들은 예수가 메시아임을 밝혀주는 표적을 원했지만 정작 표적을 보고는 믿지 않았는데 그 이유를 본문에서 말씀하고 있습니다.

"그들이 능히 믿지 못한 것은 이 때문이니 곧 이사야가 다시 일렀으되 그들의 눈을 멀게 하시고 그들의 마음을 완고하게 하셨으니 이는 그들로 하여금 눈으로 보고 마음으로 깨닫고 돌이켜 내게 고침을 받지 못하게 하려 함이라 하였음이더라"(39-40).

여기서 잘못 생각하면 유대인들이 그리스도를 구주로 영접하지 못한 이유가 하나님께 있는 것같이 들릴 수 있을 것입니다. 혹자는 "이것은 역설적인 진리로 이방인들의 구원을 위해서 유대인들을 완고하게 하셨다"(롬11:11)고 하나 그것은 잘못된 해석입니다. 왜냐하면 유대인들이 그리스도를 영접하지 아니하였으므로 복음이 이방인에게 전파되어 구원에 이르게 되었고, 그로 인해 하나님께서는 유대인으로 시기 나게 하여 돌아오게 하는 수단으로 삼았기 때문입니다. 그러므로 이스라엘이 버린 복음이 이방인을 복 받게 하였는데, 이스라엘이 이 복음으로 구원을 받았다면 이방인을 얼마나 더 많이 구원받게 하겠느냐는 말씀입니다. 그렇다면 이사야의 예언을 어떻게 해석해야 옳을까요? 이는 유대인들이 믿고 구원받는 것을 하나님이 원하지 않으셨다는 의미가 아니라 그들이 진리를 등졌기 때문에 구원에 이르지 못하게 했다는 말씀입니다. 우리는 선악과를 따먹은 아담과 하와에게 생명과를 따먹지 못하도록 에덴에서 축출한 이유를 깨달아야 합니다.

"여호와 하나님이 이르시되 보라 이 사람이 선악을 아는 일에 우리 중 하나같이 되었으니 그가 그의 손을 들어 생명나무 열매도 따먹고 영생할까 하노라"(창3:22).

이 말씀을 부분적으로 보면 하와를 유혹하던 뱀의 말이 사실인 것같이 느껴질 수도 있습니다.

"너희가 그것을 먹는 날에는 너희 눈이 밝아져 하나님과 같이 되어 선악을 알 줄 하나님이 아심이니라"(창3:5)하였기 때문입니다. 뱀의 말에서 숨겨진 올무를 보십시오.

1) 하나님의 말씀보다 뱀의 말을 신뢰하고 따르게 하는 궤휼이요,

2) 피조물이 조물주와 같아지려는 도전입니다.

결과가 어떻게 되었습니까? 하나님과 같아져서 완전에 이른 것이 아니라 자기 위치를 이탈한 일로 멸망에 이르고 말았습니다. 사랑의 하나님이 선악과를 먹은 인생을 에덴에서 축출하지 않을 수는 없었던가 하는 마음이 들지는 않습니까? 이는 그리스도의 보혈로 사유함을 받지 않아도 천국에 들어갈 수 있는 줄 생각하는 것이나 다를 바가 없는 것입니다. 값없이 받는 은혜라 하여 누구에게나 생명과를 허용하는 줄로 생각하지 마십시오. 이사야의 예언은 오늘도 그대로 이루어지고 있습니다. 옛사람 곧 육의 사람이 죽지 않고는 새사람이 탄생할 수 없다는 것을 알아야 합니다.

우리는 통회로 거듭나서 진리를 듣는 귀와 보는 눈이 밝아지기를 소원합니다.

 

3. 하나님의 영광과 인간의 영광

"그러나 관리 중에도 그를 믿는 자가 많되 바리새인들 때문에 드러나게 말하지 못하니 이는 출교를 당할까 두려워함이라"(42절)

여기서 '관리'는 산헤드린 공회원으로 니고데모나 아리마대 요셉과 같이 예수를 구주로 믿은 자를 가리키고 있습니다. 산헤드린 공회는 그 당시 입법과 사법을 행사하는 최고의 권력기관으로 예수를 그리스도로 시인하는 자는 출교시키기로 이미 결의해 놓았습니다. 그러기 때문에 날 때부터 맹인으로 태어난 자식이 눈을 뜨게 되었어도 그 부모는 담대하게 예수를 증언하지 못하고 본인에게 물어보라고 하였던 것입니다(요9:21).

"그들은 사람의 영광을 하나님의 영광보다 더 사랑하였더라"(43절).

그것이 문제입니다. 그들이 진리를 바로 깨달았다면 출교를 당하는 일을 두려워할 이유가 없었을 것입니다. 복음을 박해하던 사울은 다메섹 도상에서 변화된 이후 출교가 두려워서 침묵을 지키지 않고 목숨을 걸고 복음을 증언했습니다.

여러분! 주님을 섬기는 일에 어떠한 장애가 있습니까? 단호하게 결단을 내리고 극복하십시오.

"누구든지 사람 앞에서 나를 시인하면 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서 그를 시인할 것이요 누구든지 사람 앞에서 나를 부인하면 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서 그를 부인하리라"(마10:32-33).

지금 우리나라는 ¼이 기독교인이요, 대통령을 비롯하여 정부 요직에 수많은 교인들이 있는데도 사회 풍토를 변화시키지 못하는 이유가 어디에 있을까요? 이는 천이백만 성도들이 책임을 느껴야 할 문제입니다. 바닷물에는 염분이 2.8%만 있어도 오염을 방지하는데 25%의 염분이 제 구실을 못한다면 맛 잃은 소금이라 하지 않을 수 없을 것입니다.

받은 달란트를 묻어두지 마십시오. 주님의 능력은 무한합니다. 진리를 위해 헌신하고 봉사합시다. 하나님께서 기뻐하실 줄 믿습니다.

 

4. 올바른 믿음

"예수께서 외쳐 이르시되 나를 믿는 자는 나를 믿는 것이 아니요 나를 보내신 이를 믿는 것이며 나를 보는 자는 나를 보내신 이를 보는 것이니라"(44-45).

이 말씀이 중요합니다. 주님께서 외쳐 선포한 진리가 무엇입니까? "나와 아버지는 하나이라"(요10:30)는 말씀입니다.

하나님과 우상을 비길 수 없듯이, 그리스도와 벨리알도 마찬가지입니다. 오늘날 기독교인들과 인간 우상을 만들어 놓고 섬기는 자들이 일치할 수 있을까요? 그럴 수 없습니다. 무엇보다 중요한 것은 영적인 무장입니다. 우리는 하나님의 전신갑주로 무장하여 어둠을 물리치고 열국의 제사장 민족으로 선교적 사명을 다해야 할 것입니다. 오늘도 하나님께서는 일꾼을 찾으십니다. 주저하지 마십시오. 모든 것은 주님께서 담당해 주실 줄 믿습니다. 내가 가진 것이 넉넉하지 못하다고 염려하는 분이 계십니까? 나를 부르신 분이 주님이시라면 우리의 필요를 주님께서 채워주실 줄 믿으시기 바랍니다. 주님은 육체적으로 자랑할 것이 없는 사람을 더 귀하게 들어 쓰십니다. 우리가 진리 위에 굳게 서서 충성할 때 주님께서 영광을 받으실 줄 믿습니다. 우리 모두 진리의 대열에서 주의 뜻을 이룩하는 일꾼들이 되시기를 기원합니다. - 아멘 -

 

 

Isaiah's prophecy

John 12:35-50

 

“The crowd answered, “We have heard in the law that Christ is eternal. Why do you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man? Jesus said to him, “For a little while there is light among you, so go while there is light, so that you may not be caught up in darkness. “He who walks in darkness does not know where he is going” (34-35).

In this way, the Lord indirectly spoke of impending suffering and death (John 8:12).

Here, if we look at the grace that will be gained while we are with the Lord who is the light,

1) You will not be disappointed.

“Go while there is light, lest you be caught up in darkness” (verse 35).

The natural world has light and darkness, day and night. But in the world of truth, Christ is the light and the devil is darkness. Beware of the devil's temptations. You must realize that if you fall into the devil's snare, you will become a slave to the devil and you will perish.

The five oceans incident in Korea, the mass suicide of nine hundred and twenty-three people in Guyana, South America by members of the People's Temple, an American cult, and the mass suicide of apocalyptic believers in Switzerland and Canada in 1,187 years have been the devil's trap. It is the end of those who have fallen.

2) Without light, you will know the purpose of life.

“He who walks in darkness does not know where he is going” (verse 35).

When children get lost, they have no sense of direction, so they go to the wrong place and get lost. Likewise, when a mature person turns his back on the truth, he loses his life journey as a spiritual orphan and a lost traveler.

3) Become the son of light.

“Believe in the light while you still have the light, and you will become sons of the light” (verse 36).

If we believe in the Lord who is light, we too become sons of light through that faith. In other words, it means that sinners who deserve to be destroyed are set up in the ranks of righteousness. Thanks to this grace, we should bow down and worship God.

 

1. The Hidden Lord

“When Jesus had said these things, he departed from them and hid” (verse 36).

There was a time when the Lord was preaching the truth in the temple, and the Jews hid out because the Jews were about to pick up stones (John 8:59).

There is also a theory that he went to Bethany at that time. But in Luke,

“Jesus taught in the temple by day, and went out by night to rest on a mountain called the Olive Garden” (Luke 21:37).

If there is any misfortune, the Messiah the Jews have been longing for has come and they rejected the Messiah. This should not happen to us. It's last Saturday. The autumn rain is moistening the earth, and it was very nice to see Butler Y buying flowers and coming into the office for flower arrangement. But he coughed badly, so he said, "Master, I have a cold." I said, "Pastor, when the weather is fickle, I cough like this. I don't know if it's rhinitis, but I'm not worried." So, knowing there is a secret, I asked, "How do I do it?" He said, "I can get better if I just pray from the pastor." Then, I glorified God for how precious that faith was.

 

2. Isaiah's prophecy

“He performed so many signs before them, but they did not believe him” (verse 37).

What is the target? It is visible evidence. The Jews wanted a sign to reveal that Jesus was the Messiah, but when they saw the sign, they did not believe. The reason is explained in the text.

“For this reason they were not able to believe, because Isaiah again said, He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so that they may see with their eyes and understand with their hearts, and turn away from me, that they may heal me” (39-40). ).

If you are wrong here, it may sound like God is the reason the Jews did not accept Christ as their Savior. Some say, "This is a paradoxical truth that he hardened the Jews for the salvation of the Gentiles" (Romans 11:11), but that is an incorrect interpretation. Because the Jews did not accept Christ, the gospel was preached to the Gentiles and led to salvation, and God used it as a means to bring the Jews back to jealousy. Therefore, the gospel that Israel rejected blessed the Gentiles, but if Israel were saved by this gospel, how many more Gentiles would they save? So, how should we interpret Isaiah's prophecies correctly? This does not mean that God did not want the Jews to believe and be saved, but it does not mean that they did not come to salvation because they had turned away from the truth. We must realize the reason why Adam and Eve, who ate the tree of knowledge, were expelled from Eden so that they could not partake of the tree of life.

“Behold, this man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil, saith the LORD God, lest he stretch out his hand, and also take from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever” (Genesis 3:22).

At a partial reading of these words, it may seem that the words of the serpent that tempted Eve were true.

“For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:5). See the hidden snare in the serpent's horse.

1) It is a deceit to trust and follow the words of the serpent rather than the words of God.

2) It is a challenge for the creation to become like the Creator.

What was the result? He did not attain perfection because he became like God, but because he deviated from his position, he ended up in ruin. Do you not feel that the God of love could not but expel the people who ate the forbidden fruit from Eden? This is no different than thinking that you can enter the kingdom of heaven without being forgiven by the blood of Christ. Do not think that the fruit of life is granted to anyone just because it is a free grace. Isaiah's prophecies are still being fulfilled today. We must understand that the new man cannot be born unless the old man, the natural man, dies.

We want to be born again by contrite, so that the ears to hear the truth and the eyes to see may be opened.

 

3. Glory of God and Glory of Man

“But many of the officials believed in him, but he could not speak openly because of the Pharisees, for fear that he would be excommunicated” (verse 42).

Here, 'officer' refers to a member of the Sanhedrin, who believed in Jesus as their Savior, such as Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea. The Sanhedrin was the supreme authority to exercise legislative and judicial powers at that time, and had already resolved to excommunicate anyone who confessed that Jesus was the Christ. That is why, even though a child born blind from birth had his eyes opened, his parents could not boldly testify of Jesus and told him to ask him (John 9:21).

“They loved the glory of men more than the glory of God” (verse 43).

That's the problem. If they had immediately realized the truth, there would have been no reason to fear being excommunicated. After being transformed on the road to Damascus, Saul, who was persecuting the gospel, was afraid of expulsion, so he did not keep his silence and risked his life to testify to the gospel.

everyone! What obstacles do you have in serving the Lord? Be decisive and overcome.

“Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven; and whoever denies me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32-33).

Now, in our country, 1/4 of us are Christians, and there are many church members in important government positions, including the president, but why can't we change the social climate? This is an issue that 12 million believers should feel responsible for. Even if there is only 2.8% salt in seawater, it can prevent pollution.

Do not bury the talent you have received. The power of the Lord is limitless. Let him dedicate and serve the truth. He believes that God will be pleased.

 

4. Right Faith

“Jesus cried out, saying, He who believes in me does not believe in me, but he believes in the one who sent me; and he who sees me sees the one who sent me” (44-45).

These words are important. What is the truth that the Lord cried out and proclaimed? “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30).

Just as God and idols cannot be compared, neither is Christ and Belial. Can Christians today be united with those who make up and serve human idols? You can't. The most important thing is spiritual armAment. Armed with the full armor of God, we must defeat darkness and fulfill our missionary mission as a priestly nation of nations. Today, God is looking for workers. Do not hesitate. I believe that the Lord will take care of everything. Is there anyone who is concerned that what I have is not enough? If it is the Lord who has called me, I hope that the Lord will provide for our needs. The Lord honors those who have nothing to boast about physically. We believe that the Lord will be glorified when we stand firm on the truth and be faithful. I pray that all of us will become workers who accomplish the Lord's will in the ranks of truth. - Amen -
