나의 장사할 날을 위하여

요12:1-8

 

"유월절 엿새 전에 예수께서 베다니에 이르시니 이곳은 예수께서 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 나사로가 있는 곳이라"(1절)

베다니는 무덤에서 살아난 나사로의 사건으로 사람들에게 널리 알려졌을 뿐 아니라 복음 사역에도 큰 영향을 미치게 되었습니다. 지난 수요일 사무실에서 설교를 준비하는데 전화벨이 울려서 받으니 "목사님, 사택에 전화를 드렸는데 받지 않으시기에 혹시나 하고 교회로 전화를 드렸습니다. 추석인데 사무실에 계십니까?" J집사에게서 걸려온 전화였습니다.

"예! 바쁜 일이 있어서 이렇게 나왔는데 무슨 일이 있으신지요?" "저희 아이가 아파서 목사님께 기도를 받으려고요. 감기로 기침을 하더니 결국은 폐렴이 되었어요. 몸에 열이 많은데 치료를 받아도 낫지를 않습니다." 라고 했습니다.

사실 목사가 병명을 묻는 것은 처방을 내리기 위해서가 아니라 궁금하기에 물었던 것입니다. 감사한 일은 믿음의 손길로 기도할 때 주님께서는 우리의 모든 병을 고쳐주신다는 것입니다. 연휴라 모든 사람이 여가를 즐기는 시간에도 저는 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 일을 한 가지 더하게 해 주신 데 대해 감사를 드렸습니다.

우리는 어느 때 어디서든지 주님께서 필요로 하실 때에는 즐겨 헌신하여 하나님의 영광을 드러내는 사람이 되어야 하겠습니다.

 

1. 주님을 위한 잔치

"거기서 예수를 위하여 잔치할새 마르다는 일을 하고 나사로는 예수와 함께 앉은 자 중에 있더라"(2절).

은혜를 힘입은 자들이 주님을 섬기는 자리였으므로 얼마나 복되고 아름다운 시간이었을까 하는 생각이 듭니다.

얼마 전에 분당으로 이사를 한 B집사님으로부터 전화가 왔습니다. "목사님, 우리 집에 심방을 좀 와 주십시오. 바쁘신 줄 알지만 이렇게 전화를 드렸습니다." 하기에 "예, 가겠습니다."하고 그날 성도들과 함께 심방을 했습니다.

"목사님께서 좋아하시는 음식을 준비하느라고 가락시장에 가서 이렇게 사왔습니다" 하는데,

‘죄인이 무엇이기에 이렇게 주의 사랑을 받게 해 주십니까?’ 십자가가 힘들고 어려워서 몸부림을 치다가도 주님의 사랑을 받을 때는 감사드리지 않을 수가 없었습니다.

 

2. 옥합을 깨뜨리고

"마리아는 지극히 비싼 향유 곧 순전한 나드 한 근을 가져다가 예수의 발에 붓고 자기 머리털로 그의 발을 닦으니 향유 냄새가 집에 가득하더라"(3절).

그 향유의 원산지는 인도로 식물에서 채집한 것인데 지극히 값진 향유입니다. 그러나 아무리 값진 향유라 할지라도 주님의 은혜를 생각한다면 아까울 것이 없지요.

"좋은 향수 냄새는 침실에서 식당으로 퍼져가고 좋은 이름은 세상 이 끝에서 저 끝으로 전하여 간다"는 말이 있습니다. 근간에 일어난 살인 사건은 인간일까, 악마일까, 이름 붙여 말하기조차 끔찍합니다. 그런데 그 사건이 계속해서 사회면을 장식하고 있습니다. 인간이 인간이기를 포기해버린다고 인간이 아닌 짐승으로 변할 수 있을까요? 그럴 수 없습니다. 인간은 어디까지나 인간입니다. 인간이기에 인간답게 살지 못하면 거기에 따른 심판이 있는 것입니다.

"죽을 각오도 되어 있다" "죽고 싶다" "더 죽이고 죽어야 하는데…" "부자들을 혐오한다." 모두가 이성을 잃은 소리지요. 그도 어머니의 품에서 미소지으며 자랄 때는 사랑스러운 자들이었을 것입니다. 그렇지만 이제는 어떠한 변명을 할지라도 용납될 수 없는 끔찍한 죄를 짓고 말았습니다.

여러분! 그만이 저주의 자식으로 전락된다고 생각해서는 안 될 것입니다. 마귀는 사람의 생명을 귀하게 여기지 않습니다. 또한 그자만 그렇게 되었다고 생각하지 마십시오. 모두가 마귀의 표적이 될 수 있기 때문입니다. 이 자리에 있는 우리도 알게 모르게 악령에게 붙잡혀 종살이하였던 전과자들입니다. 그런데 누가 우리를 구원시켜 주었으며 성도라는 거룩한 새이름을 주셨습니까? 주님의 은혜입니다. 이제는 주님의 은혜로 탕자가 효자 되고, 버림받은 사람이 사랑받는 사람으로 변화되었으니 그 은혜를 망각해서는 안 될 것입니다. 우리도 마리아같이 주님 앞에 옥합을 깨뜨려 향기 풍기는 성도들이 되어야 하겠습니다.

 

3. 가룟 유다의 비판

"제자 중 하나로서 예수를 잡아 줄 가룟 유다가 말하되 이 향유를 어찌하여 삼백 데나리온에 팔아 가난한 자들에게 주지 아니하였느냐 하니 이렇게 말함은 가난한 자들을 생각함이 아니요 그는 도둑이라 돈궤를 맡고 거기 넣는 것을 훔쳐 감이러라"(4-6).

인면수심이라는 말이 있습니다. 인간의 탈을 쓰고 짐승 같은 마음을 가졌다는 뜻입니다. 과연 그럴 수도 있을까 하는 생각이 들지는 않습니까? 사실 이것은 주님의 영광에 도전하는 마귀의 교만입니다. 그런데 마태복음에는 다른 제자들까지 동조한 것으로 되어있습니다.

"제자들이 보고 분개하여 이르되 무슨 의도로 이것을 허비하느냐 이것을 비싼 값에 팔아 가난한 자들에게 줄 수 있었겠도다 하거늘 예수께서 아시고 그들에게 이르시되 너희가 어찌하여 이 여자를 괴롭게 하느냐 그가 내게 좋은 일을 하였느니라"(마 26:8-10).

가룟 유다는 양심에 화인 맞아서 성물을 도둑질하였고 또 훔치기 위해서였는데 마귀의 바이러스가 다른 제자들에게까지 퍼졌던 것입니다.

일생일대 주님을 기쁘시게 하는 그 일보다 더 값지고 의미 있는 일이 있을까요? 거룩한 봉사로 열매 맺는 일에 시험 드는 일이 없도록 조심해야 합니다. 아무리 값진 물건이라도 제 용도에 따라 쓰임을 받았다면 족할 것입니다. 과연 자신을 위해서 쓰는 것은 당연하고, 주님을 섬기는 일은 허비요, 낭비라고 하면 그것을 참믿음이라 할 수 있을까요?

"이 여자가 내 몸에 이 향유를 부은 것은 내 장례를 위하여 함이니라"(마26:12).

가룟 유다의 눈에는 삼백 데나리온이라는 돈만 보였지만 주님께서는 마리아의 아름다운 정성이 보였던 것입니다.

“이렇게 말함은 가난한 자들을 생각함이 아니요 그는 도둑이라 돈궤를 맡고 거기 넣는 것을 훔쳐 감이러라”(요12:6). 그것도 부족해 가룟 유다는 제사장들에게 가서 은 삼십을 받고 주님을 팔았습니다. 그 결과를 우리는 잘 알고 있습니다. 주님의 은혜를 돈으로 평가할 수 있을까요? 그럴 수는 없습니다. 주님은 죄 많은 여인에게서 삼백 데나리온의 향유를 받은 것이 아니라 그 정성을 받으시고 영원한 존귀와 영광의 복을 내려 주심을 믿으시기 바랍니다.

"내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 온 천하에 어디서든지 이 복음이 전파되는 곳에서는 이 여자가 행한 일도 말하여 그를 기억하리라"(마26:13).

그것은 돌비에 새긴 것이 아니라 진리에 새겨졌고, 성도들의 마음에 새겨져서 복음과 함께 영원토록 향기를 풍기고 있는 것입니다. 얼마나 복되고 귀한 일입니까? 마귀의 시험을 조심하십시오. 혈육과 의논하지 말고 성령이 기뻐하실 때에 즐겨 헌신하여 열매 맺는 성도들이 되시기 소원합니다.

 

4. 주님을 섬기는 일과 구제

구제하는 것은 주님께서 기뻐하시고 또 주님께 드리는 복이 됩니다.

"내가 주릴 때에 너희가 먹을 것을 주었고 목마를 때에 마시게 하였고 나그네 되었을 때에 영접하였고 헐벗었을 때에 옷을 입혔고 병들었을 때에 돌보았고 옥에 갇혔을 때에 와서 보았느니라 이에 의인들이 대답하여 이르되 주여 우리가 어느 때에 주께서 주리신 것을 보고 음식을 대접하였으며 목마르신 것을 보고 마시게 하였나이까 어느 때에 나그네 되신 것을 보고 영접하였으며 헐벗으신 것을 보고 옷 입혔나이까 어느 때에 병드신 것이나 옥에 갇히신 것을 보고 가서 뵈었나이까 하리니 임금이 대답하여 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희가 여기 내 형제 중에 지극히 작은 자 하나에게 한 것이 곧 내게 한 것이니라"(마25:35-40).

유다에게 하시는 주님의 말씀입니다.

"가난한 자들은 항상 너희와 함께 있거니와 나는 항상 있지 아니하리라"(8절).

이 말씀은 가난한 자를 외면해도 무방하다는 뜻이 아닙니다. 세상에는 가난한 자가 항상 있을지라도 예수 그리스도가 세상에 오셔서 십자가에 못 박힌 사건은 단 한 번이라는 말씀입니다. 주님을 섬길 수 있는 기회는 누구에게나 돌아올 수 있는 것이 아닐 뿐더러 또 항상 보장되어 있는 것도 아닙니다. 교회에서 섬기는 성도들의 손길도 마찬가지입니다. 교회 안에는 주의 사역을 활성화하기 위한 여러 부서와 조직이 있습니다. 기억할 일은 모든 기관이 모체를 중심으로 하는 활동이 되어야 한다는 것입니다. 남. 여 전도회가 교회 안에 있는 지체요, 모든 교육 기관을 비롯하여 위원회 활동 역시 마찬가지입니다. 여러분! 진실한 마음으로 주님을 사랑하십니까? 몸된 교회에 향기를 풍기는 손길들이 되시기 바랍니다. 교회는 주님의 몸입니다. 그러므로 교회를 사랑하는 자는 주님을 사랑하는 것이요, 교회를 가까이하는 것은 주님을 가까이하는 것입니다. 교회를 귀히 여기는 것이 주님을 귀히 여기는 것이요, 교회를 유익되게 하는 것이 주님을 기쁘게 하는 것이며, 교회를 부흥시키는 것은 복음 사역이 왕성하도록 하는 것이요, 교회에 충성하는 모든 것은 주님께 충성하는 것입니다.

"나를 존중히 여기는 자를 내가 존중히 여기고 나를 멸시하는 자를 내가 경멸하리라"(삼상2:30).

우리는 주님을 섬기는 일에 가룟 유다와 같이 비판하는 사람이 되지 말고 마리아와 같이 영광 돌리는 성도들이 되어야 하겠습니다. 나를 위해 피 흘리신 주님의 고난을 욕되게 하지 말고 거룩한 예물로 향기 풍기는 손길이 됩시다. 우리 모두 주의 날에 영광이 더하기를 기원합니다. - 아멘 -

“Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where is Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from the dead” (verse 1).

Last Wednesday, while preparing a sermon in the office, the phone rang and I answered, "Pastor, I called the office, but they didn't answer, so I called the church just in case. "Yeah! I've been busy with work, so what's wrong with you?" "My child is sick and I am going to ask the pastor for prayer. He coughed with a cold and eventually became pneumonia. He has a fever in his body, but it does not get better even with treatment." Said.

In fact, the pastor asked the name of the disease not to prescribe, but because he was curious. The thankful thing is that when we pray with the hands of faith, the Lord heals all our diseases. Even during the holiday season, when everyone was enjoying their leisure time, I thanked God for allowing me to do one more thing that pleases God.

We should become people who show the glory of God by willingly devoting ourselves whenever and wherever the Lord needs us.

 

1. A Feast for the Lord

“There was a supper there for Jesus, while Martha was working, and Lazarus was among those who sat with him” (verse 2).

I think of what a blessed and beautiful time it must have been for those who received grace to serve the Lord.

I received a call from Deacon B, who recently moved to Bundang. "Pastor, please come to my house for a visit. I know you are busy, but I called you like this." So I said, "Yes, I'll go." I went to visit with the saints that day.

“I went to the Garak Market to prepare the food that the pastor likes, and I bought it like this.”

‘What is it like to be a sinner, so that you receive the Lord’s love like this?’ Even though the cross was difficult and difficult, I could not help but be thankful when I received the Lord’s love.

 

2. Break the alabaster

“Mary took a pound of very expensive perfume, a pound of pure nard, and poured it on Jesus’ feet, and she wiped his feet with her hair, and the house was filled with the smell of her perfume” (verse 3).

The origin of the perfume oil is India, and it is collected from plants, and it is an extremely valuable perfume oil. However, no matter how expensive perfume is, if you think about the grace of the Lord, it will not be a waste.

There is a saying, "Good perfume smells from bedroom to dining room, and good names go from one end of the world to another." The murder that happened at the root is terrifying to even name it a human or a demon. However, the incident continues to decorate the face of society. Can a human become a non-human beast by giving up being human? You can't. Humans are human after all. If you cannot live like a human being because you are a human being, you will be judged accordingly.

"I am prepared to die" "I want to die" "I have to kill more and die..." "I hate the rich." It sounds like everyone has lost their temper. He must have been lovely when he grew up smiling in his mother's arms. But now I have committed a terrible sin that cannot be tolerated by any excuse.

everyone! You should not think that you are the only one who will be reduced to the child of the curse. The devil does not value human life. Also, don't think that he's the only one. Because everyone can be a target of the devil. These are ex-convicts who were caught and enslaved by evil spirits without realizing that we are here. But who saved us and gave us the holy new name, Saints? It is the grace of the Lord. Now, by the grace of the Lord, the prodigal son has become a filial son, and the forsaken person has been transformed into a loved one, so we must not forget that grace. Like Mary, we should break the alabaster before the Lord and become saints who smell the fragrance.

 

3. Criticism of Judas Iscariot

"Judas Iscariot, one of the disciples, who was going to arrest Jesus, said, "Why didn't you sell this perfume for three hundred denarii and give it to the poor?" He said this, not because he was thinking of the poor, but because he was a thief. Be like this" (4-6).

There is a saying called face-to-face. It means that they wear human clothing and have the heart of an animal. Don't you ever wonder if that could be the case? In fact, this is the pride of the devil that challenges the glory of the Lord. However, in the Gospel of Matthew, the other disciples also agree with him.

“When the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “What is the purpose of wasting this? You could sell it at a high price and give it to the poor.” But Jesus knew it and said to them, “Why are you tormenting this woman? She has done good to me.” (Matthew 26:8-10).

Judas Iscariot was burned with his conscience, so he stole holy things, and to steal, the devil's virus spread to the other disciples as well.

What could be more valuable and meaningful to you than to please the Lord in your lifetime? We must be careful not to be tempted by the fruitfulness of holy service. No matter how valuable an item is, if it is used according to its purpose, it will be sufficient. If you say that it is natural to use it for yourself, and serving the Lord is a waste, can it be called true faith?

“This woman has poured this perfume on my body for my burial” (Matthew 26:12).

Judas Iscariot saw only three hundred denarii of money, but the Lord showed Mary's beautiful devotion.

“I do not say this for the sake of the poor, but because he is a thief and has the money box and steals what was put in it” (John 12:6). That was not enough, so Judas Iscariot went to his priests and sold the Lord for thirty pieces of silver. We know the results. Can God's grace be measured in money? It can't be. May the Lord believe that she did not receive her three hundred denarii of perfume from her sinful woman, but that she received the devotion and bestowed upon her eternal blessings of honor and glory.

“I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her” (Matthew 26:13).

It was not engraved on stone tablets, but on the truth, and it is engraved on the hearts of the saints, giving off a fragrance along with the Gospel for eternity. How blessed and precious is this? Beware of the devil's temptation. Do not discuss with flesh and blood, but when the Holy Spirit is pleased, I hope that you will become saints who are willing to dedicate themselves and bear fruit.

 

4. Serving the Lord and Giving Relief

Giving alms is pleasing to the Lord and is a blessing to the Lord.

“I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to see me. When did you see you hungry and give you food? When did you see you thirsty and give you something to drink? When did you see the stranger and welcome you? He answered and said to them, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me" (Matthew 25:35-40).

These are the words of the Lord to Judah.

“The poor are always with you, but I will not always be” (verse 8).

This does not mean that it is safe to ignore the poor. Although there are always poor people in the world, Jesus Christ came into the world and was crucified only once. Opportunities to serve the Lord are not for everyone and are not always guaranteed. The same is true of the hands of the saints serving in the church. There are several departments and organizations within the church to revitalize the work of the Lord. The thing to remember is that every organ should be a maternal activity. other. Evangelism Women is a member within the church, and all educational institutions and committee activities are the same. everyone! Do you love the Lord with a sincere heart? I hope that you will become hands that spread fragrance to the body of the church. The church is the body of the Lord. Therefore, those who love the church love the Lord, and to draw near to the church is to draw near to the Lord. To honor the church is to honor the Lord, to be beneficial to the church is to please the Lord, to revive the church is to make the gospel ministry active, and to be loyal to the church is to be loyal to the Lord.

“Those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me I will despise” (1 Samuel 2:30).

In serving the Lord, we should not be critics like Judas Iscariot, but rather glorify saints like Mary. Do not dishonor the suffering of the Lord, who shed His blood for me, but let us become hands that smell fragrant with holy offerings. We wish all of you more glory in the day of the Lord. - Amen -
