땅에 이루어진 천국

행4:23-30

 

지상 천국은 가능한지? 그리고 이루어진다면 그곳은 어디이며 또한 천국 생활은 어떠할지? 이러한 질문은 인류가 궁금하게 생각하는 일일 줄 압니다. 그러나 문제는 그 모델을 어디에서 찾느냐 하는 것입니다. 어떤 분은 스위스의 몽블랑 등정을 하고 황홀경에 빠져 과연 천국이 여기보다 좋을까 하며 감탄했다고 합니다. 하지만 그런 것은 눈요기일 뿐이요, 인간이 기대하는 소원을 만족시켜 줄 수 없는 것입니다.

미국 서부에 있는 요세미티 국립공원에는 높이가 1612피트(약 496m)나 되는 절벽 위에서 떨어지는 리본폭포(Ribbon Fall)를 비롯하여 크고 작은 폭포들이 아홉 개나 장관을 이루고 있는데도 왜 그런지 그런 곳에서 살았으면 얼마나 좋을까 하는 생각은 들지 않았습니다. 그 이유는 의사소통이 어려울 것이고, 더 큰 문제는 주일에 섬길 교회도 없이 살아야 하기 때문입니다. 그러고 보니 진정으로 만족하게 살아갈 수 있는 환경은 어떠한 그림 속에서가 아닌 진리 안에 있다는 것을 알게 되었습니다.

 

1. 풀려난 사도들

"사도들이 놓이매 그 동료에게 가서 제사장들과 장로들의 말을 다 알리니"(23절).

그때 사도들이 풀려날 수 있었다는 것은 기적에 가까운 일입니다. 왜냐하면 그리스도를 미워하여 십자가에 못 박은 그들인데, 사도들이 그리스도는 무덤에서 부활하여 승천하셨고 또 다시 오실 메시아로 증언하고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 다른 이로서는 구원을 얻을 수 없나니 천하 인간에 구원을 얻을만한 다른 이름을 우리에게 주신 일이 없다고 증언하니 그것을 진리로 인정한다면 역사가 뒤집히는데 그대로 둘 수 없지요. 그러나 진실을 뒤집을 방법은 어디에도 없는 것입니다.

지구상에 있는 나라는 어느 나라, 어느 민족을 막론하고 하나 같이 전쟁과 슬픔의 역사를 지니고 있습니다. 그러나 중요한 것은 우리가 처한 현실이요, 치열한 국제 경쟁 사회에서 개척해 나가야 할 미래입니다. 소련을 비롯한 동 구라파에서 공산 체제가 무너질 때 드디어 자유가 보장되는 새날이 밝아오는 줄 알았는데 불행스럽게도 민족 분규가 그칠 줄을 모르고, 그로 인해 국가 경제는 몰락해 가고 있습니다. 굶주리고 헐벗은 자들에게 사상과 이념이 무슨 소용이 있겠습니까? 차라리 옛날이 좋았다, 다시 옛날로 돌아가자는 말들이 공공연히 나오기도 합니다.

사도들을 보십시오. 진리는 결박되지 않습니다. 진리 안에 있는 자가 진정한 자유자 입니다.

“너희가 내 말에 거하면 참으로 내 제자가 되고 진리를 알지니 진리가 너희를 자유롭게 하리라”(요8:31-32) 하셨습니다.

몸은 가두어도 진리는 가둘 수 없으므로 바울은 감옥에서 옥중 서신을 남겼습니다. 무덤 문을 터뜨리고 부활하신 그리스도 예수의 복음을 제사장들과 장로들이 억제할 수 없어서 다시는 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 복음을 전하지 못하였으나 사도들은 위축되지 않았습니다.

"우리는 보고 들은 것을 말하지 아니할 수 없다"(행4:20) 하고 더욱 담대하게 복음을 전했습니다. 우리도 이러한 은혜 힘입기를 소원합니다.

 

2. 일심으로 올린 기도

"그들이 듣고 한마음으로 하나님께 소리를 높여 이르되 대주재여 천지와 바다와 그 가운데 만물을 지은 이시요 또 주의 종 우리 조상 다윗의 입을 통하여 성령으로 말씀하시기를

어찌하여 열방이 분노하며 족속들이 허사를 경영하였는고 세상의 군왕들이 나서며 관리들이 함께 모여 주와 그의 그리스도를 대적하도다 하신이로소이다"(24-26절).

외부적인 박해는 더욱 내부적인 단결을 가져오고 합심하여 기도하게 하여 하나님의 더 큰 능력을 힘입게 해주었습니다. 그러므로 우리도 신앙 때문에 닥치는 시험이라면 주저하지 마십시오. 하나님의 전신갑주로 무장하고 기도하여 더 큰 영광에 이르기를 바랍니다.

"우리가 알거니와 하나님을 사랑하는 자 곧 그의 뜻대로 부르심을 입은 자들에게는 모든 것이 합력하여 선을 이루느니라"(롬8:28).

여러분! 해결되지 않는 어려운 문제가 있습니까? 누구에게도 의논할 수 없는 힘든 일이 있습니까?

"아무것도 염려하지 말고 다만 모든 일에 기도와 간구로 너희 구할 것을 감사함으로 하나님께 아뢰라"(빌4:6).

초대 교회 성도들을 보십시오. 그들은 박해 속에서 더 힘 있는 기도를 올렸습니다. 그때 올린 기도의 내용입니다.

1) 담대하게 말씀을 전할 수 있도록 기도했습니다.

"주여 이제도 그들의 위협함을 굽어보시옵고 또 종들로 하여금 담대히 하나님의 말씀을 전하게 하여 주시오며"(29절).

제사장들과 장로들이 다시는 나사렛 예수의 이름으로 복음을 전하지 못하게 위협하고 풀어 주었는데 그들은 더욱 담대하게 복음을 전할 수 있도록 기도했습니다. 과연 그러한 기도는 적극적인 믿음에서요, 하나님이 기뻐하시는 믿음으로 말미암아 올린 기도입니다. 내 힘으로는 세상을 이기지 못할지라도 주님의 은혜는 세상을 이기고도 남음이 있습니다.

초대 교회 성도들이 외부적인 박해를 두렵게 생각하여 믿음이 위축되었다면 어떻게 되었을까요? 오순절의 사건은 광신자들의 불장난으로 끝났다는 평가를 받았을 것입니다.

그런데 은혜받은 성도들은 담대했습니다. 불같은 시험이 있을 때는 불같이 일어나고, 사자같은 시험이 있을 때는 사자같이 담대하게 대처해 나갔습니다. 중요한 것은 오늘 우리에게도 하나님의 손길을 움직일 수 있는 기도의 자원이 있다는 것입니다.

"그를 행하여 우리가 가진 바 담대함이 이것이니 그의 뜻대로 무엇을 구하면 들으심이라"(요일 5:14).

얼마나 든든한 보장입니까? 이 자원을 묻어두지 마십시오. 충성을 따라 기도합시다. 하나님의 더 큰 영광을 목적 삼고 기도합시다. 후히 주시고 꾸짖지 아니하시는 하나님께 기도하여 복음을 담대히 전하는 증인들이 되기를 소원합니다.

2) 표적과 기사가 일어나도록 기도했습니다.

"손을 내밀어 병을 낫게 하시옵고 표적과 기사가 거룩한 종 예수의 이름으로 이루어지게 하옵소서 하더라"(30절).

그들이 앉은뱅이를 일으킨 일로 소동이 일어났을 때 거기에 그치지 않고, 그들은 더욱 담대하게 복음을 증언하고 권능의 역사가 계속적으로 일어나기를 기도했습니다. 하나님의 능력은 이러한 믿음의 사람들을 통해서 일어납니다. 욕심을 부리자면 사도들이 박해를 당하지 않고도 복음을 증언할 때 그와 같은 역사가 일어났으면 얼마나 좋았을까 하는 마음도 있습니다. 그러나 마귀와의 접전에서 거룩한 긴장은 놓을 수 없는 것입니다.

데살로니가 교회는 복음이 말로만 아니라 오직 능력과 성령과 큰 확신으로 증언되었다고 했습니다(살전1:5).

우리 모두 더욱 분발하고 경성하여 생명과 성령의 역사가 끊임없이 일어나기를 소원합니다.

 

3. 하나님의 응답

"빌기를 다하매 모인 곳이 진동하더니 무리가 다 성령이 충만하여 담대히 하나님의 말씀을 전하니라"(31절).

이 대목은 중요합니다. 그 무리들은 오순절에 은혜받은 성도들이 아닌 새로운 사람들이라고만 볼 수는 없습니다. 그렇다면 한 번 은혜를 받았을지라도 우리는 반복적인 기도, 끊임없는 기도가 필요하다는 것과 또 하나님의 은혜 역시 날마다 충만함이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있습니다. 그러므로 우리는 주의 은혜를 항상 새롭게 또 충만하게 힘입어야 합니다. 문제는 하나님의 은혜는 내 마음대로 받을 수 없다는 데 있습니다.

지금 보사부 장관으로부터 효녀상을 받은 분이 우리 성가대에 있습니다. 그의 지극한 효심을 보면 대통령상을 받아도 마땅할 사람이라 생각합니다. 그런데 그러한 일이 국민 누구에게나 일률적으로 있는 일이라면 당연지사이므로 하등 기뻐할 일이 못 될 것입니다.

하나님의 은혜도 마찬가지입니다. 하나님의 선물은 대상이 엄선될 뿐 아니라 또 그것은 시들지 않는 것입니다. 그렇다면 누구에게 이 은혜의 선물을 주실까요? 하나님이 기뻐하시는 사람이요, 주의 사역에 충성하는 사람입니다.

여러분, 심령이 메마른 자가 있습니까? 연료 없는 자동차가 움직일 수 없듯이 은혜가 메마르면 성령의 열매를 맺을 수 없습니다. 주의 은혜가 얼마나 귀한지 보십시오. 그 품에는 온갖 보화가 다 있습니다.

"온갖 좋은 은사와 온전한 선물이 다 위로부터 빛들의 아버지께로부터 내려오나니 그는 변함도 없으시고 회전하는 그림자도 없으시니라"(약1:17).

주님께 충성을 다짐하는 성도들에게 은혜의 성령이 더욱 충만하기를 소원합니다.

 

4. 땅에 이루어진 천국

땅에 이루어진 천국은 성도가 바라는 최고의 꿈이요, 이상 세계입니다. 감사한 일은 진리를 따라 이루어지는 천국은 허상이 아닌 실상이라는 것입니다. 물론 땅에 이루어지는 천국은 영원한 하나님의 나라와 일치된다고 할 수는 없으나 불신자들이 말하는 유토피아와는 근본적인 차이가 있습니다. 그렇다면 땅에 이루어진 천국은 어떤 상태일까요? 그곳은 불신과 불만이 없고, 감사와 기쁨이 넘치는 곳이요, 거룩한 헌신과 축복이 있는 곳입니다. 초대 교회를 보십시오.

“믿는 사람이 다 함께 있어 모든 물건을 서로 통용하고 또 재산과 소유를 팔아 각 사람의 필요를 따라 나눠주며 날마다 마음을 같이하여 성전에 모이기를 힘쓰고 집에서 떡을 떼며 기쁨과 순전한 마음으로 음식을 먹고 하나님을 찬미하며 또 온 백성에게 칭송을 받으니 주께서 구원받는 사람을 날마다 더하게 하시니라”(행2:44-47).

"믿는 무리가 한 마음과 한 뜻이 되어 모든 물건을 서로 통용하고 자기 재물을 조금이라도 자기 것이라 하는 이가 하나도 없더라"(32절).

그들이 언제부터 그렇게 되었습니까? 은혜를 힘입은 이후부터입니다. 외부적인 환경이 좋아져서일까요? 도리어 환란과 박해 중에서 믿음을 지키는 자들이었습니다. 모두가 제 물건을 제 것이라 하는 자가 없었다면 누구의 소유란 말입니까?

"모든 것이 주께로 말미암았사오니 우리가 주의 손에서 받은 것으로 주께 드렸을 뿐이니이다"(대상 29:14).

이 믿음이 중요합니다. 얼마나 복된 믿음입니까? 더욱 중요한 것은 그때 많은 무리들 중에는 핍절한 사람이 하나도 없었다는 것입니다. 이를 경제적인 논리로 본다면 이해할 수 없는 일이지만 신앙으로는 가능한 일입니다.

오늘 이와 비슷한 방법으로 이스라엘에는 기브츠(협동 농장) 운동을 활발히 전개하고 있습니다. 신기한 일은 세계 어느 나라에서도 성공하지 못한 일을 이스라엘에서는 성공적으로 운영하고 있다는 것입니다. 그러나 이는 어디까지나 그 민족의 독특성과 강인함에서 얻어지는 것일 뿐 초대 교회 생활과는 다른 것입니다. 왜냐 하면 기브츠 운동이 협동정신의 소산이라면 초대 교회 생활은 성령 안에서 이룩된 일이기 때문입니다.

은혜 가운데 거하는 성도들은 무엇을 먹을까, 무엇을 입을까, 여기에 매이지 않았습니다. 모두가 하나같이 먹어도 주님을 위해서, 입어도 주님을 위해서, 살아도 주님을 위해서, 죽어도 주님만을 위해서였으니 "우리가 사나 죽으나 주의 것이라"는 믿음이었습니다. 진리 안에서 맛볼 수 있는 구원의 은혜, 이는 받는 자밖에는 알 수 없는 비밀의 은혜입니다.

이제 이 영적인 증거와 체험이 있는 사람은 환란과 박해가 닥쳐도 기뻐할 수 있고 또 영원한 천국을 상속받게 됩니다.

우리 모두 초대 교회로 돌아갑시다. 세월은 변해도 진리는 영원합니다. 과거에 은혜를 받았습니까? 또다시 충만하기를 소원합니다. 할 일이 있으므로 우리는 더욱 충만한 은혜를 힘입어야 합니다. 세대가 악하므로 주의 능력이 갑절로 임하기를 기도했던 엘리사와 같이 우리도 능력 받아 주님 앞에 서는 날 의의 면류관 받기를 기원합니다. - 아멘 -

Acts 4:23-30

 

Is heaven on earth possible? And if so, where will it be and what will life in heaven be like? I know that these questions are something that mankind wonders about. But the question is where to find that model. Some people said that they were in ecstasy after climbing Mont Blanc in Switzerland and wondered if heaven would be better than here. However, such a thing is only an eye candy, and it cannot satisfy the wishes of human beings.

Yosemite National Park in the western United States has nine spectacular waterfalls, including Ribbon Fall, which falls from a cliff as high as 1612 feet. did not cost The reason is that communication will be difficult, and the bigger problem is that we have to live without a church to serve on Sundays. As I came to think of it, I came to know that the environment in which one can truly live satisfactorily is not in a picture, but in the truth.

 

1. The Apostles Freed

“When the apostles were released, they went to their companions and told them all the words of the priests and elders” (verse 23).

It was almost a miracle that the apostles were then released. Because they hated Christ and crucified them, the apostles testify that Christ was the Messiah who rose from the grave and ascended into heaven again. We testify that no names were given to us, so if we admit it as the truth, history will be turned upside down, and we cannot leave it as it is. But there is no way to reverse the truth.

Every country on earth, regardless of country or ethnicity, has a history of wars and sorrows. However, what is important is the reality we face and the future we must pioneer in a fiercely competitive international society. When the communist regime collapsed in Eastern Europe, including the Soviet Union, I thought a new day would finally dawn when freedom was guaranteed. Unfortunately, ethnic strife never ceases, and the national economy is collapsing as a result. What good are ideas and ideologies to those who are hungry and naked? There are publicly saying that the old days were better, and that we should go back to the old days.

Look at the apostles. The truth is not bound. Those who are in the truth are truly free.

“If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32).

Since the body is confined, but the truth is not, Paul wrote a letter from prison in prison. His priests and elders could not hold back the gospel of the resurrected Christ Jesus after the tomb was opened, so that they could never again preach the gospel in the name of Jesus Christ, but the apostles were not withdrawn.

“We cannot but speak what we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:20), and he preached the gospel more boldly. We, too, wish to be blessed with this kind of grace.

 

2. Prayers of One Heart

"When they heard it, they lifted up their voices to God with one accord, saying, High Sovereign, you who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, and through the mouth of your servant David our father, said by the Holy Spirit,

Why is it that the nations are angry, and the peoples have plotted in vain? The princes of the earth go forth, and the officials gather together against the Lord and his Christ” (verses 24-26).

The outward persecution brought more inner unity and brought us to pray in one accord, drawing on the greater power of God. Therefore, if we too are faced with a test because of our faith, do not hesitate. I pray that you will be armed with the full armor of God and pray for greater glory.

“We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).

everyone! Do you have an unresolved hard problem? Do you have a difficult task that you cannot discuss with anyone?

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6).

Look at the early church members. They prayed more powerfully in the midst of persecution. This is the content of the prayer I raised at that time.

1) We prayed to be able to preach the word boldly.

“Now, Lord, look upon their menace, and grant your servants to speak the word of God with boldness” (verse 29).

The priests and elders threatened and released me from preaching the gospel in the name of Jesus of Nazareth again, but they prayed so that they could preach the gospel more boldly. Indeed, such a prayer is a prayer that is raised out of active faith, a faith that is pleasing to God. Even if I cannot overcome the world with my own strength, the grace of the Lord is more than enough to overcome the world.

What would have happened if the early church members were afraid of external persecution and their faith was weakened? The events of Pentecost must have been evaluated as ending with fanatics playing with fire.

But the saints who received grace were bold. When there was a fiery trial, he rose like a fire, and when there was a trial like a lion, he responded boldly like a lion. The important thing is that even today we have the resources of prayer that can move God's hand.

“This is the boldness we have in doing him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us” (1 John 5:14).

How strong is the guarantee? Do not bury this resource. Let us pray according to allegiance. Let us pray for the greater glory of God. I hope that we will become witnesses who boldly preach the gospel by praying to God who gives generously and does not rebuke.

2) We prayed for signs and wonders to happen.

“Stretch out your hand and heal him, and let signs and wonders be done in the name of your holy servant Jesus” (verse 30).

When they caused a commotion because of the cripple, they did not stop there, they more boldly testified to the gospel and prayed that the work of power would continue. God's power comes through these people of faith. If we are greedy, we have a heart that it would have been great if such a work would have happened when the apostles testified of the gospel without being persecuted. However, the holy tension in the battle with the devil is inevitable.

The Thessalonian church said that the gospel was testified not only with words, but with power and the Holy Spirit and with great conviction (1 Thessalonians 1:5).

I hope that all of us will be more vigilant and vigilant so that the work of life and the Holy Spirit will occur continuously.

 

3. God's Response

“When they had finished praying, the place where they were assembled was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness” (verse 31).

This topic is important. Those groups cannot be seen as new people who are not the saints who received grace on the Day of Pentecost. Then, even if we have received grace once, we can know that we need repeated prayer, constant prayer, and that God's grace also needs fullness every day. Therefore, we must always have the grace of the Lord renewed and full of strength. The problem is that I cannot receive God's grace on my own terms.

Now, there is a person in our choir who has received the filial piety award from the Minister of Health and Welfare. Looking at his filial piety, I think he deserves the Presidential Award. However, if such a thing happened uniformly to all the people, it would be a natural thing to do, so there would be nothing to be happy about.

The same is true of God's grace. God's gift is not only that the object is carefully selected, but that it does not wither. If so, who will you give this gift of grace to? He is a man pleasing to God, and he is a man loyal to the work of the Lord.

Guys, is there anyone with a dry heart? Just as a car without fuel cannot move, if grace dries up, it cannot bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit. See how precious your grace is. It has all kinds of treasures in its arms.

"Every good gift and every perfect gift comes down from above, from the Father of lights, who does not change, nor shadow of turning" (James 1:17).

I pray that the Holy Spirit of grace will be more filled with the saints who pledge their loyalty to the Lord.

 

4. Heaven on Earth

The kingdom of heaven on earth is the best dream and ideal world that saints desire. The thing to be grateful for is that the kingdom of heaven, which is made according to the truth, is not an illusion but a reality. Of course, the kingdom of heaven on earth cannot be said to coincide with the eternal kingdom of God, but it is fundAmentally different from the utopia that unbelievers say. So, what is the state of heaven on earth? It is a place where there is no disbelief or dissatisfaction, it is a place of gratitude and joy, a place of holy devotion and blessing. Look at the early church.

“All those who believed were together, sharing all things in common, selling property and possessions and distributing it according to the needs of each person, and daily working hard to gather in the temple together, breaking bread at home, eating with joy and with sincerity of heart. And they ate bread, praising God, and having favor with all the people, and the Lord added to the number of those who were being saved day by day” (Acts 2:44-47).

“And all the believers were of one mind and one mind, and there was not one who said that all things were in common with one another, and that even a little of his possessions were his” (verse 32).

When did they become that way? It has been since the grace of grace. Is it because the external environment has improved? Rather, they were those who kept the faith in the midst of tribulation and persecution. If everyone didn't say that my things were mine, who would own them?

“All things come from you, and what we received from your hand we gave to you” (1 Chronicles 29:14).

This belief is important. How blessed is your faith? More importantly, there was not a single person in need among the large crowd at that time. It is incomprehensible from an economic point of view, but it is possible with faith.

In a similar way today, Israel is actively developing the Gibutz (cooperative farm) movement. The strange thing is that in Israel, what is not successful in any other country in the world is being successfully operated. but this

It is only obtained from the uniqueness and strength of that nation, and it is different from the life of the early church. Because if the Gibutz movement is the product of the spirit of cooperation, the life of the early church was accomplished in the Holy Spirit.

The saints who live in grace are not bound by what to eat or what to wear. It was the belief that "whether we live or die, whether we live or die, whether we live or die, it is the Lord's." The grace of salvation that can be tasted in the truth, this is a secret grace that only those who receive it can know.

Now, those who have this spiritual evidence and experience can rejoice even in the face of tribulation and persecution and inherit the eternal heaven.

Let us all return to the early church. Time may change, but the truth is eternal. Have you been blessed in the past? I hope to be full again. There is work to be done, and we must draw upon the fuller fulness of grace. Like Elisha who prayed for the power of the Lord to come twice because the generation is evil, we pray that we too will receive power and receive the crown of righteousness when we stand before the Lord. - Amen -
