요14:12-21

 

지난 목요일 다비다 여전도회에서 개최한 경로잔치는 참으로 보람된 일로 생각됩니다. 성도들이 기쁘게 봉사하는 일로 인해 목사는 인사받기에 분주했습니다. 어떤 할머니는 음식을 드시고 나갈 때 "안녕히 가십시오."하고 인사를 드렸더니 "목사님, 은혜 많이 받고 갑니다."하고 답례도 했습니다. 어쩐지 그분들이 하나님을 모르는 불신자라는 마음이 들지 않고 모두가 주님 찾아온 성도들 같이 여겨짐은 저 혼자만의 생각은 아닐 줄 압니다. 앞으로 그런 일은 전통을 살려 계속되었으면 좋겠습니다. 무엇보다 봉사하는 분들이 은혜 가운데서 수고하시는 것을 볼 때 하나님께 감사드리지 않을 수 없었습니다. 주의 은혜가 얼마나 귀한지 보십시오.

"목사님, 여전도회 회비가 많지 못한데 경로잔치를 할 수 있도록 교회에서 좀 도와주십시오. 그러면 우리가 하겠습니다."

"그러지 말고 더 큰 은혜를 받으려면 예산도 자체로 해결하도록 해보십시오." 했는데 그 말에 순종하였더니 풍성하게 잔치를 하고도 남았다고 합니다. 그보다 더 크게 감사드릴 일은 모든 사람이 힘입게 된 봉사의 은혜입니다.

"그러므로 형제들아 우리가 끝으로 주 예수 안에서 너희에게 구하고 권면하노니 너희가 마땅히 어떻게 행하며 하나님을 기쁘시게 할 수 있는지를 우리에게 배웠으니 곧 너희가 행하는 바라 더욱 많이 힘쓰라"(살전4:1).

우리 모두 선한 일에 힘쓰고 선한 사업에 부자 되시기를 바랍니다. 주님께서 마지막 성만찬을 나누시면서 제자들에게 잠시 떠나게 될 것을 말씀하셨을 때 모두가 근심에 젖어 드는 것을 보시고,

"너희는 마음에 근심하지 말라 하나님을 믿으니 또 나를 믿으라"(요14:1).

"내가 아버지께 구하겠으니 그가 또 다른 보혜사를 너희에게 주사 영원토록 너희와 함께 있게 하시리니"(16절) 하셨습니다.

 

1. 성령의 인격

성령은 성부와 성자와 함께 지혜와 지식과 능력이 동등합니다. 또한 성령은 지성과 감정, 의지의 구분이 뚜렷하여 우리에게 모든 것을 가르쳐 주시고(요14:26), 우리가 주의 뜻을 배반하고 등질 때에는 우리의 대적이 되어 심판을 내리시고(사63:10), 또 우리의 갈 길을 인도해주십니다(행16:7).

보혜사 성령이 함께하시면 주님을 아는 지혜와 지식과 은혜가 충만하게 됩니다. 그러므로 성령을 근심시키지 말고 하나님의 뜻을 따라 헌신하는 성도들이 되어야 하겠습니다.

며칠 전 서울대 병원에 문병한 일이 있는데 "목사님, 이제 퇴원하면 신앙생활 철저히 하겠습니다" 라고 했습니다.

막다른 길에서는 누구나 다짐할 수 있는 결심인 줄 압니다. 은혜가 귀한 줄 알았다면 두려운 마음으로 복종하여 주의 뜻을 이루고 열매 맺기를 바랍니다.

 

2. 성령의 명칭

성령에 대해 가장 많이 쓰인 단어가 성신, 또는 성령입니다. 그 말이 헬라어로는 '피라클레토스' 곧 대언 자, 중재 자, 상담 자, 돕는 자, 위로 자, 옹호자라는 의미입니다. 성령은 우리의 대언자가 되셔서 마땅히 구해야 할 것을 구하지 않을 때는 말할 수 없는 탄식으로 대신 구하시고, 우리를 위로하사 어떠한 상황에서도 소망의 새 빛을 비추어 주십니다.

 

3. 성령의 사역

1) 예수 그리스도를 메시아로 믿게 하십니다.

"성령으로 아니하고는 누구든지 예수를 주시라 할 수 없느니라"(고전12:3).

"주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다"(마16:16).

베드로의 이 고백이 은혜로 말미암아서였습니다. 기독교는 은혜의 종교입니다. 또한 구원에 이르는 믿음도 하나님의 은혜입니다. 사람이 신앙의 필요성을 인정하면서도 믿지 못하는 이유가 무엇일까요?

물론 죄로 인해서입니다. 그러므로 어둠에 속한 일을 벗고 빛으로 나와야 합니다. 그런데 문제는 자력으로 그것을 해결할 수 없다는 것입니다.

전에 어떤 사람이 술에 중독되었는데 자기 행동이 얼마나 미웠던지 "목사님, 제가 한 번만 더 술을 입에 대면 사람이 아닙니다." "그럼 무엇이란 말이요?" "개지요. 정말 술은 입에 안 댈 겁니다. 맹세합니다." 그러고는 다음 날 보면 또 술을 먹고 그 말을 반복하고, 그러다가 생을 마치는 것을 보았습니다. 참된 믿음은 자기 의지에 있는 것이 아니라 은혜에 있습니다.

어떤 종교에 입문할지라도 은혜의 성령을 받을 수 없습니다. 그러나 회개하고 그리스도를 구주로 영접하는 자는 죄 사함을 받고 은혜의 성령을 선물로 받게 됨을 믿으시기 바랍니다.

2) 갖가지 은사를 선물로 주십니다.

"은사는 여러 가지나 성령은 같고 직분은 여러 가지나 주는 같으며 또 사역은 여러 가지나 모든 것을 모든 사람 가운데서 이루시는 하나님은 같으니 각 사람에게 성령을 나타내심은 유익하게 하려 하심이라"(고전12:4-7).

우리의 유익을 위해 성령이 어떤 은사를 주시는지 보십시오.

"어떤 사람에게는 성령으로 말미암아 지혜의 말씀을, 어떤 사람에게는 같은 성령을 따라 지식의 말씀을, 다른 사람에게는 같은 성령으로 믿음을, 어떤 사람에게는 한 성령으로 병 고치는 은사를, 어떤 사람에게는 능력 행함을, 어떤 사람에게는 예언함을, 어떤 사람에게는 영들 분별함을, 다른 사람에게는 각종 방언 말함을, 어떤 사람에게는 방언들 통역함을 주시나니 이 모든 일은 같은 한 성령이 행하사 그의 뜻대로 각 사람에게 나누어주시는 것이니라"(고전12:8-11).

모두가 적소 적기에 알맞게 내려 주시는 하나님의 선물입니다. 얼마나 귀중한 은혜입니까?

이 선물을 묻어두지 마십시오. 믿음으로 순종할 때 열매를 맺게 됩니다.

“너희가 열매를 많이 맺으면 내 아버지께서 영광을 받으실 것이요 너희는 내 제자가 되리라”(요15:8).

앞에는 홍해가 가로막고 뒤에는 바로 왕의 천병만마가 추격할 때 막다른 골목에 처한 모세는 엎드려 하나님께 부르짖었습니다. 그때 나타난 하나님의 음성입니다.

"지팡이를 들고 손을 바다 위로 내밀어 그것이 갈라지게 하라 이스라엘 자손이 바다 가운데서 마른 땅으로 행하리라"(출14:16).

지팡이를 들었을 때 바닷물이 물러가고 육지같이 건너가게 되었습니다. 또 보십시오. 바닷물이 육지같이 나누어질 정도의 강풍이라면 사람인들 그 앞에서 어떻게 견딜 수가 있었겠습니까? 그러나 사람에게는 그 바람이 미치지 않게 한 것도 하나님의 은혜입니다.

보혜사 성령이 함께하심을 믿으십니까? 주의 능력이 함께 하심을 믿으시기 바랍니다. 주님의 약속입니다.

"내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 나를 믿는 자는 내가 하는 일을 그도 할 것이요 또한 그보다 큰일도 하리니 이는 내가 아버지께로 감이라"(요14:12).

"오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라"(행1:8).

이 은혜 내려 주신 주님께 영광을 돌리시기 소원합니다.

3) 삶의 차원과 임무를 달리해주십니다.

이 세상은 어둠의 세상이요, 장차 멸망할 도성입니다. 그러므로 세상 어디를 가도 슬픔과 고통, 죽음이 있기 마련입니다. 그러나 기뻐할 것은 성령 안에 있는 사람은 땅에서도 천국의 영광을 누리게 된다는 것입니다.

"만일 너희 속에 하나님의 영이 거하시면 너희가 육신에 있지 아니하고 영에 있나니 누구든지 그리스도의 영이 없으면 그리스도의 사람이 아니라"(롬8:9).

"하나님의 나라는 먹는 것과 마시는 것이 아니요 오직 성령 안에 있는 의와 평강과 희락이라"(롬14:17).

아무리 세상이 좋다 하여도 천국과는 비교할 수 없다면, 우리가 세상에도 천국 영광을 누린다는 것이 얼마나 귀중한 은혜인지를 알아야 합니다. 사명감은 망각하지 않아야 합니다. 유대인들이 하나님께 버림받은 이유를 보십시오.

① 진리를 대적하는 교만입니다.

② 하나님의 영광을 썩어질 사람과 금수와 버러지 형상의 우상으로 바꾸었기 때문입니다.

③ 선교적 사명을 저버렸기 때문입니다.

우리도 조심해야 합니다. 주의 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하십시오.

의사의 자격증은 환자를 치료하기 위해서라면, 군인에게 들려진 총과 칼은 국토를 방위하기 위해서요, 성도에게 허락된 은사는 하나님께 영광을 돌리고 하나님 나라 확장을 위해서임을 믿으셔야 합니다.

4) 언약의 보증으로 성령을 주셨습니다.

"그가 또한 우리에게 인치시고 보증으로 우리 마음에 성령을 주셨느니라"(고후1:22).

우리에게 임한 주의 성령은 믿음의 보장입니다. 내가 하나님의 자녀가 되었다는 보장이 무엇입니까? 성령님이십니다.

"예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이의 영이 너희 안에 거하시면 그리스도 예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이가 너희 안에 거하시는 그의 영으로 말미암아 너희 죽을 몸도 살리시리라"(롬8:11).

성령을 사모하십시오. 이 시간에도 보혜사 성령이 함께하십니다.

"그날에는 내가 아버지 안에, 너희가 내 안에, 내가 너희 안에 있는 것을 너희가 알리라"(20절).

이 진리의 성령이 영원토록 충만하기를 기원합니다. 아멘!

In the future, I hope that such a tradition will continue. Above all, I could not help but thank God when I saw the volunteers working in grace. See how precious your grace is.

“Pastor, we do not have a lot of membership dues for the Women’s Evangelism Society, so please help the church to hold the Senior Citizen’s Feast. Then we will do it.”

"Don't do that, and try to solve the budget yourself in order to receive greater grace." But it is said that she obeyed his words and had more than enough feasting. What I should be grateful for more than that is the grace of service that everyone has gained.

“Therefore, brethren, we beseech you and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that since you have learned from us how you ought to walk and how to please God, that is what you do, do your best to do more” (1 Thessalonians 4:1).

May we all strive for good works and become rich in good works. When the Lord shared the Last Supper when he told his disciples that he would be leaving for a while, he saw that everyone was drenched in sorrow.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me” (John 14:1).

“I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may be with you forever” (verse 16).

 

1. Personality of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is equal in wisdom, knowledge, and power with the Father and the Son. Also, the Holy Spirit teaches us everything because the division between intellect, emotion, and will is clear (John 14:26), and when we betray the Lord's will and turn our backs, he becomes our enemy and judges us (Isa 63:10). , and guides our way (Acts 16:7).

When the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, is with you, you will be filled with wisdom, knowledge, and grace to know the Lord. Therefore, we must become believers who do not grieve the Holy Spirit and dedicate themselves according to the will of God.

A few days ago, I had a visit to Seoul National University Hospital, and he said, "Pastor, when I am discharged from the hospital, I will thoroughly live my life of faith."

I know that it is a decision that anyone can make a commitment to on a dead end road. If you have known that grace is precious, I hope that you will obey with fear and fulfill the Lord's will and bear fruit.

 

2. Names of the Holy Spirit

The most used word for the Holy Spirit is the Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit. The word is 'Pyracletos' in Greek, meaning advocate, mediator, counselor, helper, comforter, advocate. The Holy Spirit is our Advocate, and when we do not ask for what we ought to ask for, with groanings beyond words, He comforts us and illuminates a new light of hope in any situation.

 

3. The work of the Holy Spirit

1) He makes us believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah.

“No one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:3).

“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16).

This confession of Peter was by grace. Christianity is a religion of grace. Also, faith that leads to salvation is the grace of God. What is the reason why people do not believe when they acknowledge the necessity of faith?

Of course, because of sin. Therefore, we must put off the things that belong to darkness and come out into the light. But the problem is that I can't solve it on my own.

Someone had been addicted to alcohol before, and how he hated his behavior said, "Pastor, if I drink one more time, I'm not a human." "Then what do you mean?" "Dog. I really don't drink alcohol. I swear." Then the next day I saw him drinking again, repeating the words, and then ending his life. True faith lies in grace, not in self-will.

No matter what religion you enter, you cannot receive the Spirit of Grace. However, please believe that those who repent and accept Christ as their Savior will receive forgiveness of sins and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit of grace.

2) He gives various gifts as gifts.

“There are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit, and there are varieties of offices, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of work, but the same God who works all things in everyone, so that the manifestation of the Holy Spirit to each one is beneficial” (1 Corinthians 12:4-7). ).

See what gifts the Holy Spirit gives us for our good.

“To one the word of wisdom by the Holy Spirit, to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another the gift of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the works of miracles. , to another prophesying, to another discerning of spirits, to another speaking in various tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues; all these things are done by one and the same Spirit, and divided to each one according to his will. It is given” (1 Corinthians 12:8-11).

It is a gift from God that is given to everyone at the right time and at the right time. How precious is your grace?

Do not bury this gift. Obedience in faith bears fruit.

“My Father is glorified, that ye bear much fruit, and ye shall be my disciples” (John 15:8).

When the Red Sea blocked the front and thousands of horses from King Pharaoh pursued him, Moses, who was at a dead end, fell on his face and cried out to God. It was the voice of God that appeared at that time.

“Take up your staff, and stretch out his hand over the sea, and let it part; for the children of Israel will walk on dry land in the midst of the sea” (Exodus 14:16).

When the staff was lifted, the sea receded and passed like land. See you again. If the wind was so strong that the sea water was divided like land, how could humans have endured it in front of them? However, it is God's grace that the wind did not reach people.

Do you believe that the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, is with you? Please believe that the power of the Lord is with you. It is the promise of the Lord.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do, and greater works than these, because I go to the Father” (John 14:12).

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

I want to give glory to the Lord who bestowed this grace.

3) He changes the dimension and mission of life.

This world is a world of darkness, a city that will be destroyed in the future. Therefore, wherever you go in the world, there will always be sorrow, pain, and death. However, the rejoicing thing is that those who are in the Holy Spirit will enjoy the glory of heaven on earth.

“If the Spirit of God dwells in you, you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Christ” (Romans 8:9).

“The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).

No matter how good the world is, if it cannot be compared with heaven, we must know how precious grace is to enjoy the glory of heaven in the world. The sense of duty should not be forgotten. See why the Jews were forsaken by God.

① It is pride that opposes the truth.

② It is because they exchanged the glory of God for idols in the form of corruptible humans, animals, and scum.

③ It is because they have forsaken their missionary mission.

We must be careful too. discern what the will of the Lord is.

You must believe that the doctor's license is for treating patients, the guns and swords held by the soldiers are for defending the country, and the gifts granted to the saints are for glorifying God and expanding the kingdom of God.

4) The Holy Spirit was given as a guarantee of the covenant.

"He also sealed us and gave the Holy Spirit into our hearts as a surety" (2 Corinthians 1:22).

The Holy Spirit of the Lord that has come upon us is the guarantee of our faith. What is the guarantee that I am a child of God? You are the Holy Spirit.

“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you” (Romans 8:11).

Pray for the Holy Spirit. The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, is with you at this time as well.

“In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you” (verse 20).

I pray that the Holy Spirit of this truth will be filled forever. Amen!
