선한 목자

요10:1-15

 

요한복음에는 "나는…이다"라고 선포하신 말씀이 여러 번 반복되고 있습니다. ① 내가 곧 생명의 떡(요6:35), ② 나는 세상의 빛(요8:12), ③ 나는 부활이요 생명(요11:25), ④ 내가 길이요 진리요 생명(요14:6), ⑤ 내가 참 포도나무(요15:1,5), "나는 양의 문"(7절), "나는 선한 목자"(14절)라 하셨습니다.

성경에는 이 외에도 여러 가지 비유의 말씀이 있습니다. 이렇게 비유로 하신 목적은, ① 불신자들에게는 천국의 비밀을 지키기 위해서 ② 택한 자들에게는 그 비밀을 일깨워 주기 위해서입니다.

 

1. 양의 문이 되신 주님

"내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 문을 통하여 양의 우리에 들어가지 아니하고 다른 데로 넘어가는 자는 절도며 강도요 문으로 들어가는 이는 양의 목자라"(1-2).

어떤 자가 절도며 강도입니까? 절도는 남의 재산이나 물건을 주인 모르게 훔치는 자요, 강도는 협박과 공갈로 재물을 강탈하는 자입니다. 절도도 나쁘지만 강도는 사람을 해칠 수 있으므로 법정에서는 더 엄하게 다스립니다. 양의 문으로 들어가지 않는 자는 흉악범이 분명합니다.

그리스도 없이 구원을 운운하는 자가 있습니까? 이는 마귀의 함정임을 깨달아야 합니다. 예수 없는 복음은 거짓이요 진리가 아닙니다.

"다른 복음은 없나니 다만 어떤 사람들이 너희를 교란하여 그리스도의 복음을 변하게 하려 함이라 그러나 우리나 혹은 하늘로부터 온 천사라도 우리가 너희에게 전한 복음 외에 다른 복음을 전하면 저주를 받을지어다"(갈1:7-8).

얼마나 무서운 말씀입니까? 바울이 그렇게 말한 것은 단순히 경각심을 일깨우기 위해서가 아니라 실질적으로 갈라디아 교회에 복음을 변질시키는 자들이 들어왔기 때문입니다.

그들이 주장하는 것이 무엇인지 보십시오. 구원은 믿음으로 말미암아서가 아니라 율법을 지킴으로 얻게 된다는 것입니다. 물론 구약이나 신약은 동일한 진리입니다. 중요한 것은 성령으로 거듭나는 은혜가 율법의 행위에 있지 아니하고 듣고 믿음으로 말미암아서라는 것입니다(갈3:2).

"의인은 믿음으로 살리라"(갈3:11, 합2:4, 롬1:17).

믿음의 조상 아브라함이 무엇으로 의롭다 함을 얻었습니까?

"아브라함이 하나님을 믿으매 그것이 그에게 의로 여겨진바 되었느니라"(롬4:3).

진리는 시공을 초월합니다. 다만 구약시대에는 오실 메시아를 믿음으로 말미암아 의에 이르고, 신약시대에는 오신 메시아를 믿음으로 의에 이른다는 차이입니다.

"나보다 먼저 온 자는 다 절도요 강도니 양들이 듣지 아니하였느니라"(8절).

나보다 먼저 온 자, 곧 예수님이 말씀하신 절도요 강도는 메시아의 권위에 도전하는 자들로서 어느 때든지 있었습니다. 우리는 양의 문으로 들어가지 아니하고 다른 데로 넘어가는 자를 주의해야 합니다. 영생을 얻기 위해 통과해야 하는 문은 오직 예수 그리스도 한 분이심을 믿으셔야 합니다.

"내가 문이니 누구든지 나로 말미암아 들어가면 구원을 받고 또는 들어가며 나오며 꼴을 얻으리라"(9절).

 

2. 선한 목자 되신 예수님

"나는 선한 목자라 선한 목자는 양들을 위하여 목숨을 버리거니와 삯군은 목자가 아니요 양도 제 양이 아니라 이리가 오는 것을 보면 양을 버리고 달아나나니 이리가 양을 물어가고 또 헤치느니라"(11-12).

이 말씀에 대한 주석가들의 해석입니다.

1) 양의 우리 : 교회, 양의 문 : 그리스도, 양 : 신자, 목자 : 목사

2) 양의 우리 : 교회, 양의 문 : 하나님, 양 : 신자, 목자 : 그리스도

이 비유에서 중요한 것은 선한 목자 예수와 성도의 관계입니다.

양들의 안전과 진실한 행복이 무엇인지 아십니까? 선한 목자 주님과 함께 있는 것입니다. 주님께서는 양들의 사정과 형편을 아시므로 때를 따라 돕는 양식을 제공해주십니다. 다윗이 지은 목자의 노래입니다.

"여호와는 나의 목자시니 내게 부족함이 없으리로다"(시23:1).

여기에 여호와 대신 김일성을 넣어 '김일성은 나의 목자시니 내게 부족함이 없으리로다' 할 수 있을까요? 그럴 수가 없습니다. 우리나라는 아직 통일이 되지 않았지만 남북을 자유로이 왕래할 수 있도록 보장이 된다면 어느 체제를 더 많이 희망할 것 같습니까? 아마도 6·25때 남으로 피난하던 광경이 또 다시 펼쳐질 줄로 생각됩니다. 만일 카스트로의 사회주의 정권이 국민에게 보다나은 삶을 제공해주었다면 쿠바인들이 상어 떼가 우글거리는 죽음의 바다 카리브 해에 뛰어들지는 않았을 것입니다.

대학가는 어떻습니까? 현수막을 보면 과연 우리나라가 사회주의 국가인지 민주주의 국가인지 분간하기 어려울 지경입니다. 박 홍 서강대 총장에게 고백한 어느 학생의 편지에서 매년마다 선배들이 신입생들을 포섭하여 철저하게 의식화 교육을 시킨다는 것을 보고 놀라지 않을 수 없었습니다. 만일 그들에게 신앙의 선배들이 나서서 진리의 교육을 그처럼 시켰다면 이 시대를 밝혀 줄 선구자들이 되었을 텐데, 잘못 빠져들어 불행하게 되는 것을 보고 안타까운 마음이 들었습니다.

"그가 나를 푸른 풀밭에 누이시며 쉴만한 물가로 인도하시는도다"(시23:2).

참된 안식은 주님의 품에서만 누릴 수가 있습니다.

"내 영혼을 소생시키시고"(시23:3).

이는 공산주의가 말하는 떡으로가 아닙니다. 오직 살아있고 영원한 하나님의 말씀으로 소생함을 의미하는 것입니다.

"자기 이름을 위하여 의의 길로 인도하시는도다"(시23:3).

하나님은 택하신 자들을 통해 받으실 영광을 원수에게 빼앗기지 않으십니다. 주의 영광을 위해 우리를 대속하시고 의의 길로 인도해주십니다.

"내가 사망의 음침한 골짜기로 다닐지라도 해를 두려워하지 않을 것은 주께서 나와 함께 하심이라 주의 지팡이와 막대기가 나를 안위하시나이다"(시23:4)

사망의 해를 두려워하지 않는 자가 어떤 자일까요?

세 가지 사람으로 생각할 수가 있습니다.

1) 사망이 무엇인지 분간하지 못하는 자,

2) 정신 질환자,

3) 사망을 다스릴 수 있는 믿음이 있는 자입니다.

사망이 무엇인지 분간하지 못하는 아이에게는 보호자가 필요합니다. 그때는 미성숙기이므로 죽는 것을 잘 알지 못하기 때문입니다. 그러나 정신 이상자로 마귀의 사슬에 매여 있는 자라면 불행입니다.

어둠이 지배하는 불신 사회를 살펴보십시오. 인간이 살아가는 생활이 어떻습니까? 살기 위해 사는 것이 아니라 죽지 못해 견디는 것이라 할 것입니다. 매년 늘어나는 술과 담배의 소비량이 얼마인지 생각해보셨습니까? 그런 것이 반드시 살아가는데 필요해서일까요? 그렇지 않습니다. 사실 우리가 살아가는데 없어서는 안 될 쌀은 술이나 담배에 비하면 너무도 싸다는 생각이 듭니다. 하루 한 사람이 먹는 쌀값이 얼마나 될 것 같습니까? 오백 원 정도라고 합니다. 그런데 술과 담배의 소비량은 얼마입니까?

이제 우리나라도 지방 자치제에 들어갔는데 애연가들이 내는 담배 세금만 해도 지방 세금 전체를 능가할 정도라고 하니 얼마나 엄청난 금액입니까? 당국에서는 술과 담배 소비가 늘어나야 세금이 많이 나온다고 합니다. 그로 인해 국민의 정신과 육체가 병들어 가는데 세금만 운운해서 되겠습니까? 중국이 과거에 아편 중독으로 망했다면 술과 담배에 중독되어 비틀거리는 이 사회도 문제는 마찬가지입니다.

마귀의 사슬에서 벗어나십시오. 우리 모두 진리로 해방되어 구원의 기쁨이 충만하기 소원합니다.

"문으로 들어가는 이는 양의 목자라 문지기는 그를 위하여 문을 열고 양은 그의 음성을 듣나니 그가 자기 양의 이름을 각각 불러 인도하여 내느니라"(2-3).

 

3. 양을 위해 목숨을 버리신 목자

본문에서 말씀하고 있는 이 비유에는 문지기와 절도, 강도, 삯꾼과 이리들이 함께 등장하고 있습니다. 여기서 목자가 출입할 때 문을 열고 닫는 문지기를 제외하고는 모두가 양들에게 해를 끼치는 대상입니다. 삯꾼도 역시 양을 위해 고용된 사람인데 양이 위험에 처할 때는 자기가 살기 위해 양을 버리고 도망간다고 했습니다. 무슨 말씀일까요? 비록 목장을 책임지고 일을 하지만 육신의 생각에서 벗어나지 못하면 삯꾼이 된다는 것입니다.

여러분! 어떠한 직임을 맡았습니까? 충성하십시오. 우리 모두 목자장 주님께서 오실 때 잘했다 칭찬 듣는 일꾼들이 되시기를 소원합니다.

"나는 선한 목자라 나는 내 양을 알고 양도 나를 아는 것이 아버지께서 나를 아시고 내가 아버지를 아는 것 같으니 나는 양을 위하여 목숨을 버리노라"(14-15)

희생을 각오하고 양을 지킨다는 말씀이 아니라 더 깊은 의미가 있습니다. 이는 양으로서 불가피한 희생을 목자가 대신하고 양을 살려낸다는 말씀입니다.

양들이 반드시 이리로 인해서만 죽음의 재난을 당하는 줄 생각하지 마십시오. 인생에게 왜 죽음이 왔습니까? 선악과를 먹었기 때문입니다. 죽음을 자청하여 받아들일 자 누가 있을까요? 아무도 없습니다. 그러나 인간은 죄 값으로 죽음을 피할 수가 없게 된 것입니다. 죄의 삯은 사망입니다(롬6:23).

그런데 그 죽음을 주님께서 담당하시고 십자가에 못 박혔을 때 "다 이루었다. 테텔레스 타이"(요19:30) 하셨습니다.

이는 모든 죄 값을 대신 지불했다는 말씀입니다. 더욱 중요한 것은 우리를 위해 죽으심으로 끝나지 않으시고 다시 부활하셨습니다. 주님께서 남기신 약속입니다.

"내가 너희를 고아와 같이 버려두지 아니하고 너희에게로 오리라"(요14:18).

"볼지어다 내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라"(마28:20).

주님께서 오늘도 진리의 보혜사로 우리와 함께 하시고, 또 영원토록 함께 하심을 믿으시기 바랍니다.

여러분! 주님의 양된 것을 감사드리고, 우리와 함께 하시고 온갖 좋은 것으로 채워주심을 감사드리십시오.

더욱 간절한 마음으로 더 큰 은혜를 사모하십시오. 주님께서 역사하실 줄 믿습니다. 시련과 연단이 있을지라도 인내와 감사를 잊지 마십시오. 인내의 은혜는 주님의 깊은 섭리를 깨닫게 하고, 감사할 줄 아는 믿음은 소망의 눈을 밝게 해 주실 줄 믿습니다. 우리 모두 선한 목자 주님 앞에서 영원토록 영광 누리는 성도들이 되시기를 기원합니다. - 아멘 -

 

 

Good shepherd

John 10:1-15

 

In the Gospel of John, the words of “I am…” are repeated several times. ① I am the bread of life (John 6:35) ② I am the light of the world (John 8:12) ③ I am the resurrection and the life (John 11:25) ④ I am the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6) , ⑤ I am the true vine (John 15:1,5), “I am the gate of the sheep” (verse 7), “I am the good shepherd” (verse 14).

In addition to this, there are several parables in the Bible. The purpose of this parable is, ① to keep the secret of the kingdom of heaven to unbelievers, and ② to awaken the secret to the elect.

 

1. The Lord is the Gate of the Sheep

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold through the door but goes through is a thief and a robber, and he who enters through the door is the shepherd of the sheep” (1-2).

Who is a thief and a robber? A thief is someone who steals other people's property or things without their knowledge, and a robber is a person who robs another person of property by blackmail or blackmail. Theft is bad, but robbers can hurt people, so courts are more strict. Anyone who does not enter through the sheep's gate is clearly a heinous criminal.

Is there anyone who speaks of salvation without Christ? You must realize that this is a trap of the devil. The gospel without Jesus is a lie and not the truth.

“There is no other gospel, except that some are disturbing you and trying to change the gospel of Christ. But if we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel than the gospel we preached to you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1). :7-8).

How scary is that? Paul said that not just to raise awareness, but actually because those who corrupted the gospel came into the Galatian church.

See what they are claiming. Salvation comes not through faith, but through keeping the law. Of course, the Old and New TestAments are the same truth. The important thing is that the grace of being born again by the Spirit is not through works of the law, but through hearing and faith (Galatians 3:2).

"The righteous will live by faith" (Galatians 3:11; Hab 2:4; Romans 1:17).

By what was the father of faith, Abraham, justified?

“Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness” (Romans 4:3).

Truth transcends time and space. The only difference is that in the Old TestAment age one attains righteousness through faith in the Messiah to come, and in the New TestAment age one attains righteousness through faith in the Messiah who has come.

“All who came before me were thieves and robbers, and the sheep did not listen” (verse 8).

Those who came before me, the thieves and robbers Jesus spoke of, were always those who challenged the authority of the Messiah. We must beware of those who do not enter through the sheep's gate but pass through. You must believe that there is only one door through which you must pass to gain eternal life, Jesus Christ.

“I am the door; if anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture” (verse 9).

 

2. Jesus the Good Shepherd

“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep, but the wager is not a shepherd, and the sheep are not his own.” (11-12) .

Commentators' interpretations of this verse.

What is important in this parable is the relationship between the Good Shepherd Jesus and the saints.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).

“He revives my soul” (Psalm 23:3).

This is not the bread of communism. It only means being revived by the living and eternal Word of God.

“He leads in the path of righteousness for His name’s sake” (Psalm 23:3).

God does not deprive the enemy of the glory He will receive through His elect. He redeems us for the glory of the Lord and guides us in the path of righteousness.

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4).

Who is not afraid of the harm of death?

He can be thought of as three people.

1) Those who do not know what death is,

2) the mentally ill;

3) Those who have faith to control death.

A child who does not know what death is, needs a guardian. It is because they are immature at that time, so they do not know that they are dying. However, it is unfortunate for those who are insane and are bound by the chains of the devil.

Look at a society of disbelief where darkness reigns. What is human life like? He would say that he does not live to live, but endures so as not to die. Have you ever wondered how much alcohol and tobacco consumption increases each year? Is it because it is necessary to live? It's not like that. In fact, I think that rice, which is indispensable for our lives, is too cheap compared to alcohol and cigarettes. How much rice do you think one person eats per day? It is said to be around five hundred won. By the way, what is the consumption of alcohol and tobacco?

Now that our country has entered the local self-government system, it is said that the tobacco tax paid by smokers alone exceeds the entire local tax. “The one who enters the gate is the shepherd of the sheep, and the gatekeeper opens the door for him, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls each of his sheep by name and leads them out” (2-3).

 

3. The shepherd who laid down his life for the sheep

In this parable spoken of in the text, the gatekeeper, the thief, the robber, the laborer and the wolves appear together. Here, everyone is a victim of harm to the sheep, except for the gatekeepers who open and close the doors when the shepherd enters and exits. It is said that a laborer is also a man employed for the sheep, and when the sheep is in danger, he abandons the sheep and runs away to survive. What do you mean? Even if you are responsible for the ranch, but if you do not deviate from the thoughts of the flesh, you will become a laborer.

everyone! What position did you hold? Be loyal. I hope that all of us will become workers who are praised for doing well when the Lord Shepherd comes.

“I am the Good Shepherd, I know my sheep and my sheep know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father, so I lay down my life for the sheep” (14-15).

It is not about being prepared to sacrifice and protecting the sheep, but has a deeper meaning. This means that the shepherd replaces the inevitable sacrifice as a sheep and saves the sheep.

Do not think that the sheep necessarily suffer death from wolves alone. Why did death come to life? Because they ate the forbidden fruit. Who will voluntarily accept death? No one. However, human beings cannot escape death as the penalty for sin. The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

However, when the Lord bore that death and was nailed to the cross, He said, “It is finished. Tetlestai” (John 19:30).

This means that all sins have been paid for. More importantly, he did not end with dying for us, but was resurrected again. It is a promise made by the Lord.

“I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you” (John 14:18).

“Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20).

Please believe that the Lord is with us today as the Counselor of the truth, and that He will be with us forever.
