요셉의 아들

요한복음 6:38-46

 

유대인들은 예수님께 메시아임을 증명할 수 있는 표적을 구했습니다. 메시아로서 가장 큰 표적이 무엇입니까? 바로 말씀이 육신이 되어 이 땅에 오신 것입니다(요1:14). 그런데 임마누엘의 주님을 보고도 영의 눈이 어두워서 믿을 수 없었다는 것은 그보다 더 큰 불행이 없을 것입니다.

유대인들이 올바른 신앙의 안목을 가졌다면 유대 광야에서 외쳤던 세례 요한의 증언을 듣고 예수를 메시아로 영접하였을 것입니다. 그러나 그 많은 표적을 보고도 예수를 십자가에 못 박아 죽인 것은 요셉의 아들에게 메시아의 영광을 돌릴 수 없다는 교만에서였던 것입니다.

교만을 주의하십시오. 불의와 죄악을 따라 심판하신 하나님께서 교만한 자를 물리치십니다. 교만한 자는 주님께 경배를 하지 않았으나 겸손한 자는 엎드려 경배하였습니다.

 

1. 주님이 오신 목적

"내가 하늘에서 내려온 것은 내 뜻을 행하려 함이 아니요 나를 보내신 이의 뜻을 행하려 함이니라 나를 보내신 이의 뜻은 내게 주신 자 중에 내가 하나도 잃어버리지 아니하고 마지막 날에 다시 살리는 이것이니라"(38-39).

성부와 성자는 하나이시면서 지위와 영광도 동등합니다. 그런데 성자이신 주님께서는 성부의 뜻에 복종하여 세상에 오셨습니다. 그 뜻이 무엇인지 보십시오.

"나를 보내신 이의 뜻을 행하려 함이니라 나를 보내신 이의 뜻은 내게 주신 자 중에 내가 하나도 잃어버리지 아니하고 마지막 날에 다시 살리는 이것이니라".

주님께서 이 땅에 오신 목적은 우리를 그리스도 예수 안에서 영생을 얻게 하려는 것입니다. 저는 어느 날 본인이 아직 교회에 나오지 아니하고 가족이 나오는 분의 수연 예배를 드린 일이 있었습니다. 물론 가족은 집사요, 자녀들은 외국에 나가서도 신앙생활을 충실히 하는 가정입니다.

그래도 본인의 의사가 중요하므로 물었습니다.

"저를 청한 것은 예배를 드리기 위해서입니까? 식사 대접을 하기 위해서입니까?"

"예배를 드리기 위해서지요. 본인이 쾌히 승락을 하였습니다.“

"그렇다면 가겠습니다."하고 하나님이 주신 기회라 생각하고 복음을 전한 일이 있었습니다.

한 생명이 주님 앞으로 돌아오기까지는 많은 정성과 눈물의 기도가 필요함을 잊어서 안 될 것입니다. 천하보다 귀중한 생명을 구원하는 일이 얼마나 큰 은혜요 축복입니까? 주의 은혜를 망각하지 말고 주님께 영광을 돌리시기 소원합니다. 우리가 깨달아야 할 것은 죄인 된 나를 구원하기 위해서 오직 그리스도를 구주로 보내셨다는 것입니다. 이는 그리스도를 통하지 않고는 영생 얻을 길이 없기 때문입니다. 그러므로 그리스도를 믿지 않는 사람이 하나님 운운하는 것은 참믿음이 아닙니다.

유대인들이 마귀의 자식으로 저주받은 까닭은 하나님을 섬기지 않아서가 아니라 메시아를 저버렸기 때문입니다.

천구백구십사 년 유월 십이 일 미국 뉴욕에 있는 킨스 공동묘지에는 검정색 모자를 쓰고 정장을 한 유대인들이 각국에서 모여들었는데 구십이 세에 돌아간 유대교 칠 대 랍비 메나킴 멘델 슈니어슨의 장례식을 위해서였습니다. 또 그날에 거리에 나와 과일과 맥주를 들면서 축제를 열었는데 이는 랍비 슈니어슨이 살아있을 때 "메시아 시대가 도래했다"고 하였으므로 그 영혼이 하늘나라로 승천했으니 부활하여 자신들을 이끌고 이스라엘에 입성하리라는 믿음 때문이었다고 합니다.

유대인뿐만 아니라 코란경을 가지고 있는 회교나, 유교, 불교 모두가 마찬가지입니다. "기독교에만 구원이 있다는 것은 독선이 아니냐?"는 비난이 있는 것도 사실입니다. 여기서 종교다원주의 모더니즘이 나온 것입니다.

기독교는 독선이 아닙니다. 왜냐하면 영생 얻을 진리는 유일하기 때문입니다.

“내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라”(요14:6).

"다른 이로써는 구원을 받을 수 없나니 천하 사람 중에 구원을 받을 만한 다른 이름을 우리에게 주신 일이 없음이라"(행4:12).

그러므로 구원 얻기 위해서 우리는 그리스도만을 구주로 믿어야 합니다.

 

2. 영적인 구원과 영생의 부활

"내 아버지의 뜻은 아들을 보고 믿는 자마다 영생을 얻는 이것이니 마지막 날에 내가 이를 다시 살리리라"(40절).

"마지막 날에 다시 살리리라"는 말씀이 본문에 세 번 반복되고 있습니다(39,40,44절).

여기서 우리가 그리스도를 믿음으로 받는 두 가지의 구원을 생각할 수 있습니다.

1) 영적인 구원

이는 예수를 믿을 때에 땅에서 얻게 되는 중생의 은혜입니다.

"내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 내 말을 듣고 또 나 보내신 이를 믿는 자는 영생을 얻었고 심판에 이르지 아니하나니 사망에서 생명으로 옮겼느니라"(요5:24).

중생의 은혜가 중요한 것은 이로 인해 생명의 부활에 이를 수 있기 때문입니다. 그것은 육신의 장막을 벗어날 때 얻게 되는 구원입니다. 주님께서 십자가에 못 박혔을 때 우편 강도에게 하신 말입니다.

"예수여 당신의 나라에 임하실 때에 나를 기억하소서...진실로 네게 이르노니 오늘 네가 나와 함께 낙원에 있으리라"(눅23:42-43).

이것은 이천 년 전 골고다에 못 박힌 강도만이 아닌 그리스도 안에서 죽는 모든 사람에게 허락하신 은혜입니다.

2) 영생의 부활

이는 육체의 부활을 의미하는 것으로 그 시기와 형태가 중요합니다.

부활의 시기는 주님께서 재림하실 때입니다. 그날을 본문에서는 "마지막 날"이라 하셨습니다.

이것을 요한복음에서 일곱 번 반복하고, 마태복음 10:15에는 "심판의 날", 고린도후서 1:14에는 "주 예수의 날", 요한계시록 6:17에는 "큰 날"로 말씀하고 있습니다. 주님께서 재림하심으로 세속의 역사는 끝이 나고 새 하늘과 새 땅이 펼쳐지는데(계21:1), 그날은 알곡과 쭉정이를 나누는 날이요, 곡식과 가라지를 나누는 날로서 악인은 영벌을 받게 되고 의인은 영생을 얻게 됩니다.

또 부활의 형태가 중요합니다. 나사로가 무덤에서 부활하여 하나님 앞에 영광을 돌린 일을 기억하고 있습니다. 오늘도 이러한 역사가 일어난다면 어떻게 될까요? 세계적으로 톱뉴스가 될 것입니다.

저는 이번에 S권사님으로부터 아들 K집사가 육 년을 고생하던 다리가 사십 일 새벽기도 후 안수기도를 받을 때 은혜 받고 방언이 터지면서 고침을 받았다는 이야기를 들었습니다. 하나님께 영광을 돌립니다.

믿음이 약해지지 않도록 경성하고 깨어 기도해야 합니다. 기억할 것은 육체는 영원하지 않다는 것입니다. 그러므로 썩어질 것은 영생을 유업으로 받을 수 없습니다. 사망 권세 깨뜨리고 부활하신 영광의 주님같이 우리도 홀연히 변화를 받아 영생을 유업으로 받게 될 줄 믿습니다(시103:5; 고전15:52).

 

3. 유대인들의 불신

"자기가 하늘에서 내려온 떡이라 하시므로 유대인들이 예수에 대하여 수군거려 이르되 이는 요셉의 아들 예수가 아니냐 그 부모를 우리가 아는데 자기가 지금 어찌하여 하늘에서 내려왔다 하느냐"(41-42).

예수님을 육신으로만 보았다는 것이 문제입니다. 성도들도 성령으로 거듭나면 하나님의 아들이 된다는 사실을 깨달아야 합니다.

“그러므로 우리가 이제부터는 어떤 사람도 육신을 따라 알지 아니하노라 비록 우리가 그리스도도 육신을 따라 알았으나 이제부터는 그같이 알지 아니하노라”(고후5:16).

사람을 외모를 보지 마십시오. 유대인들이 왜 그리스도를 불신했습니까? 예수님을 외모로 보았기 때문입니다. 그렇다고 예수님에게 인간적인 허물이나 약점이 있었던 것이 아닙니다. 사실 사람이 사람을 안다는 것은 중요합니다. 우리는 신앙의 안목으로 사람을 알고 또 피차에 존중하는 성도들이 되시기를 소원합니다.

 

4. 영생을 얻을 자격

1) 하나님의 인도를 받는 자

"나를 보내신 아버지께서 이끌지 아니하시면 아무도 내게 올 수 없으니 오는 그를 내가 마지막 날에 다시 살리리라 "(45절).

이 말씀은 하나님의 예정 섭리를 말씀하는 것입니다.

"하나님께서 은혜를 베푸시고 이끄시는 자는 어떤 악인도 믿지 않을 수 없다"(어거스틴).

"하나님께 복종하려는 의지까지도 하나님이 주셔야 한다"(칼빈).

"나는 나 자신의 이성과 힘으로 나의 주 예수에게 나아갈 수 없지만 성령이 복음으로 나를 부르셨다고 믿는다…그리고 마지막 날에 모든 죽은 자들을 일으키사 예수를 믿는 나와 모든 자에게 영생을 주실 것이다. 이것이 가장 확실한 진리이다."(루터)라고 하였습니다.

내가 구원을 받고 하나님의 자녀가 되었다면 자기의 공로가 있었다고 말할 수 있습니까? 모든 영광을 하나님께만 돌려야 할 은혜입니다.

2) 하나님의 가르치심을 받은 자

"선지자의 글에 그들이 다 하나님의 가르치심을 받으리라 기록되었은즉 아버지께 듣고 배운 사람마다 내게로 오느니라"(45절).

이사야 54:13에 있는 말씀입니다. 이와 유사한 말씀을 미가서4:1-4에서와 예레미야31:34에도 있습니다.

성도의 가정을 심방 할 때 마음이 뜨거웠던 일이 있었는데, 십사 년 전에 제가 축호 방문 전도로 열매 맺은 가정입니다. 딸만 일곱으로 그때는 불교신자였는데, 지금은 멀리 시집간 한 가정을 제외하고 모두 우리 교회에서 신앙생활을 하고 있습니다. 하나님께 영광을 돌립니다.

"그들이 다 하나님의 가르치심을 받으리라" 하신 말씀은 성령의 가르침을 의미합니다. 문제가 있다면 인간의 무지로 마음이 완악해져서 진리를 깨닫지 못하는 것입니다.

유대인들이 불신한 나사렛 출신 요셉의 아들이 누구입니까?

그분은 말씀이 육신이 되어 이 땅에 오신 메시아입니다. 우리 모두 주의 음성을 들을 때에 마음을 강퍅하게 하지 말고 믿고 순종하여 영생의 복을 누리는 성도들이 되시기를 기원합니다. - 아멘 -

The Jews asked Jesus for a sign to prove that he was the Messiah. What is the greatest sign of being the Messiah? The Word became flesh and came to this earth (John 1:14). However, there could be no greater misfortune than that, even after seeing the Lord of Immanuel, he could not believe because his spiritual eyes were darkened.

If the Jews had the right eye for faith, they would have accepted Jesus as the Messiah after hearing the testimony of John the Baptist who cried out in the Judean wilderness. However, the reason Jesus was crucified and killed even after seeing the many signs was out of pride that he could not give the glory of the Messiah to Joseph's son.

Beware of pride. God, who judges according to iniquity and iniquity, defeats the proud. The proud did not worship the Lord, but the humble fell down and worshiped him.

 

1. The purpose of the Lord's coming

“I came down from heaven not to do my will, but to do the will of him who sent me.

The Father and the Son are one, and their status and glory are equal. But the Lord, the Son, came into the world in obedience to the will of the Father. See what that means.

“To do the will of him who sent me, this is the will of him who sent me, that I will not lose any of those who have given me, but that I will raise him up on the last day.”

The purpose of the Lord's coming to this earth is that we may have eternal life in Christ Jesus. One day, I had a training service for a person who had not yet come to church but had a family member. Of course, the family is the deacon, and the children are faithful to their faith even when they go abroad.

Still, I asked because my own opinion is important.

"Are you inviting me to worship or to serve you a meal?"

"It's for worship. I gladly accepted."

“Then I will go.” I thought it was an opportunity God gave me and preached the gospel.

We must not forget that a lot of devotion and prayerful tears are needed until a life can return to the Lord. How much grace and blessing is saving lives that are more precious than the world? I pray that you will not forget your grace and give glory to the Lord. What we need to realize is that He only sent Christ as our Savior to save me, who was a sinner. This is because there is no way to obtain eternal life except through Christ. Therefore, it is not true faith for those who do not believe in Christ to talk about God.

The reason the Jews were cursed as children of the devil was not because they did not serve God, but because they had rejected the Messiah.

On June 12, 1994, at Kins Cemetery in New York, USA, Jews wearing black hats and formal dresses gathered from all over the world for the funeral of Menakim Mendel Schneesson, the seventh Rabbi of Judaism, who died at the age of 92. “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to his Father except through me” (John 14:6).

“Salvation can be found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Therefore, in order to be saved, we must believe in Christ alone as our Savior.

 

2. Spiritual Salvation and Resurrection of Eternal Life

“For my Father’s will is that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day” (verse 40).

The phrase “I will raise you up on the last day” is repeated three times in the text (verses 39, 40, 44).

Here we can think of two kinds of salvation that we receive through faith in Christ.

1) Spiritual salvation

This is the grace of regeneration that you receive on earth when you believe in Jesus.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has passed from death to life” (John 5:24).

The grace of regeneration is important because it can lead to the resurrection of life. It is the salvation we get when we get out of the veil of the flesh. This is what the Lord said to the robber on the right when he was crucified.

"Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom...I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:42-43).

This is the grace granted to all who die in Christ, not just the robbers who were nailed to Golgotha ​​2,000 years ago.

2) Resurrection of eternal life

This means the resurrection of the body, and the timing and form are important.

The time of resurrection is when the Lord returns. That day is called “the last day” in the text.

This is repeated seven times in the Gospel of John, where Matthew 10:15 refers to the “day of judgment”, 2 Corinthians 1:14 as the “day of the Lord Jesus” and Revelation 6:17 as the “great day”. When the Lord returns, the work of the world will come to an end and a new heaven and a new earth will unfold (Revelation 21:1). On that day, the wheat and chaff are divided, and the wheat and the weeds are divided. The wicked will receive eternal punishment and the righteous will be punished. will have eternal life.

Also, the form of resurrection is important. We remember that Lazarus rose from the grave and glorified God. What would happen if this kind of history happened today? It will be top news worldwide.

We must be vigilant and watch and pray so that our faith does not weaken. Remember, the body is not eternal. Therefore, things that perish cannot inherit eternal life. Like the glorious Lord who broke the authority of death and was resurrected, we also believe that we will be transformed and inherit eternal life (Psalm 103:5; 1 Corinthians 15:52).

 

3. Jewish Distrust

“Because he said that he is the bread that came down from heaven, the Jews murmured about him, saying, Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph?

The problem is that they only saw Jesus in the flesh. The saints also need to realize that when they are born again of the Holy Spirit, he becomes a son of God.

“Therefore, we no longer know any man according to the flesh, though we have known Christ according to the flesh, but from now on we do not know him as such” (2 Corinthians 5:16).

Don't look at people. Why did the Jews distrust Christ? Because he saw Jesus by his outward appearance. This does not mean that Jesus had human faults or weaknesses. In fact, it is important for a person to know a person. We hope that we will become believers who get to know people from the perspective of faith and respect each other.

 

4. Eligible for Eternal Life

1) Those who are led by God

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day” (verse 45).

These words speak of God's providence of predestination.

"Anyone who is gracious and leads by God cannot but believe in any evildoer" (Augustine).

“Even the will to obey God must be given by God” (Calvin).

“I cannot come to my Lord Jesus by my own reason and strength, but I believe that the Holy Spirit has called me with the gospel…and will raise all the dead on the last day to give eternal life to me and all who believe in Jesus. It is the truth." (Luther) said.

If I have been saved and become a child of God, can I say that I have had merit? It is a grace that should give all glory to God alone.

2) Those who have been taught by God

“In the words of the prophets, they shall all be taught by God; for it is written, Everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to me” (verse 45).

It's from Isaiah 54:13. Similar statements are found in Micah 4:1-4 and Jeremiah 31:34.

When I visited the family of the saints, my heart was burning, but it is a family that bore fruit 14 years ago through evangelism. With only seven daughters, she was a Buddhist at the time, but now, except for one family who married far away, all of them are living a religious life in our church. Glory to God.

“They will all be taught by God” means the teaching of the Holy Spirit. If there is a problem, the heart is hardened due to human ignorance and cannot understand the truth.

Who was the son of Joseph from Nazareth, whom the Jews distrusted?

He is the Messiah, whose Word became flesh and came to this earth. I pray that all of us do not harden our hearts when we hear the voice of the Lord, but believe and obey to become saints who enjoy the blessing of eternal life. - Amen -
